Job Description
SAIC is seeking an energetic and personable individual to support the Headquarters Mission Delta 2 (HQ MD2) Space Domain Awareness (SDA) Partnership and Coalition Engagement (SPACE) Office located at Vandenberg Space Force Base, CA (VSFB). The most qualified candidate will have an exciting and important role joining a team of experts identifying and engaging with new and existing space entities and partners to enhance and refine the program to facilitate data and information sharing. The team member must be receptive, willing to learn, open, engaging and able to perform on site in a fast-paced environment.
This role will routinely interface with Higher Headquarters (HHQ) (e.g., HQ MD2, Space Operations Command, Space Forces-Space, USSPACECOM) and interagency partners (e.g., Department of Commerce, NASA) and collaborate with Allies and commercial and coalition partners on space operations, as well as support initiatives and programs such as implementation of Space Policy Directive 3. The position will include initiating new, and sustaining existing relationships with commercial and foreign entities, U.S. government (USG) partners, academia, and other military organizations as necessary to provide integration, administrative, and exercise support. The individual will collaborate with others to guide them through space data processes, information needs, and understanding of the long-term sustainment of this exchange relationship in order to share data from a variety of sources. Extensive travel may be required.
Technical support includes, but is not limited to, the following areas: space surveillance, Space Situational Awareness (SSA) data and information sharing, SDA, non-traditional space data, security cooperation, strategic messaging, protocol and visit support, and presentation support. The contractor will attend appropriate planning and development forums to further understand and incorporate data sharing processes and partnerships.
Responsibilities:
+ Facilitate and manage partnerships with domestic and international space operators
+ Host and lead interagency working groups and engagements with Allies and commercial partners, as prescribed by Government leads within the SPACE Office
+ Solicit stakeholder inputs, compile meeting minutes, generate actionable items, and staff them to appropriate offices
+ Create process improvement products including checklists, technical requirements, and metrics dashboards
+ Develop presentations, author position papers for review, and contribute to strategic messaging efforts
+ Coordinate with HHQ (e.g., HQ MD2, SpOC, USSPACECOM, S4S). legal entities, and interagency organizations to ensure compliance with data-sharing policy
+ Analyze and articulate the operational impact of new missions on SDA architecture and capacity
+ Provide technical guidance related to SSA/SDA, including non-traditional sensors and emerging data sets
+ Support visit planning, execution, and after-action reporting
+ Liaise with commercial and coalition partners to standardize and streamline information exchange processes
+ Guide users through SDA platforms and repositories, particularly - External
**Qualifications**
+ Proven ability to lead technical, strategic, and interagency coordination efforts, given guidance from government leadership
+ Demonstrated experience as a military planner or staff officer, preferably in space or joint operations
+ Strong understanding of architecture and functionality, including data management workflows
+ Technical familiarity with SDA mission sets or demonstrated capacity to quickly gain subject matter expertise
+ Experience building products that drive process efficiency, such as Standard Operating Procedures, requirements matrices, and performance dashboards
+ Skilled in synthesizing information into briefing materials, reports, and policy artifacts
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
+ Familiarity with United States Space Force and USSPACECOM organizational structures
Education, Training, and Certifications:
+ Bachelor's degree and five years of experience or Master's degree and three years of experience
Clearance:
+ Eligibility for Top Secret Clearance with SCI

+ Prior military service or experience supporting military organizations
+ Military education or Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) highly desirable
+ Knowledge of the Space Surveillance Network, SDA/SSA operations, global sensor issues, or space operations in general
+ Demonstrated excellence in engaging international partners and managing cross-cultural dialogue
+ Experience hosting senior-level meetings and driving cross-functional outcomes
Target salary range: $120,001 - $60,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
