Responsibilities:
• Responsible for preparing the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitors the donor and the pheresis process, responds to specific alarms or signals that may occur during the process.
• Disconnects the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintains alertness and awareness to any reaction donor may have during or after the pheresis process and notifies appropriate staff.
• Uses Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) to record incidents that occur during the pheresis process, such as machine alerts and alarms, volume variances and donor adverse events.
• Uses PDA to link equipment and soft goods used in the pheresis process to the appropriate donor.
• Alerts Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensures the accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system as outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Understands the policies and procedures associated with hyper immune programs at the center if applicable.
• Maintains clean efficient work environment, and ensures sufficient operating supplies and forms are available as needed. Follows all Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) policies and procedures. Promotes safety in all actions.
• Maintains confidentiality of all personnel, donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas to meet the needs of the business.
• Bilingual skills may be required, at the discretion of the organization, to meet the needs of the business.
• Perform job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations

ABOUT US
Indiana Treatment Centers, in partnership with Ascension Recovery Services, is committed to providing high-quality, trauma-informed care to individuals battling substance use and co-occurring mental health challenges. Our new Mishawaka facility will set a standard for safety, compassion, and recovery support.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Welcome and orient new clients-review program rules, expectations, and treatment structure.
- Lead psychoeducational and life-skills groups aligned with client needs.
- Process admissions, complete intake paperwork, and ensure smooth client admission.
- Administer urine analyses (UA), manage sample handling, and complete documentation.
- Maintain accurate progress notes and reports per clinical protocols.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, recreation, and leisure programming.
- Transport clients to appointments, recovery meetings (e.g. AA/NA), and community supports.
- Monitor client behavior, identify escalation cues, and apply de-escalation techniques.
- Perform basic medical tasks (vital signs, weighing, observations).
- Collaborate with clinical staff to inform treatment planning and ensure consistency.
- Support clients in crisis-social, emotional, medical-and follow approved response protocols.
- Provide general facility support (e.g. meal service oversight, housekeeping tasks) as needed.
- Perform receptionist duties and communication relay when required.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1+ year of experience in behavioral health, recovery support, or healthcare strongly preferred.
- Must have or be able to obtain First Aid and CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
- Valid driver's license and the ability to transport clients safely.
- Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) - Indiana credential for medication administration
- Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS)
