ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES : None.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must have good interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with Industrial, Engineering, production, and other plant and office personnel. Attention to detail and accuracy. Must have good computer skills with a working knowledge of electrical, safety, labeling, and sensing devices, Programable Logic Controllers. Robot Programming and troubleshooting maybe required. Must understand and be able to implement changes to mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems in a manufacturing environment.
EDUCATION &/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree, master's degree preferred, in chemical or materials science with five plus years of related experience. Ten-Fifteen plus years experienced in surface preparation, coating applications, grit blasting, and phosphate relevant experience is acceptable over degree.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
College advanced level math skills
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Good computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office Software

REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and process several abstract and concrete variables. Must be able to assess reasonableness of the analysis performed.

The employee will be in a shared office (cubicle) environment. There may be occasions where the employee will have tasks to perform in a Laboratory environment and a Manufacturing environment, where Personal Protective Equipment such as Hearing Protection, Safety Glasses and Safety Shoes are required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leads process design and development activities for new programs.
- Identifies and lead productivity improvements through process engineering, maintenance, and technicians.
- Productivity improvements focused on equipment OEE, transfer efficiency, machine utilization, line density and throughput.
- Provide support for design reviews and design for manufacturability.
- Establishes and follow best practice in global surface preparation standards.
- Creates and issues Statement of Work (SOW) for RFQs.
- Oversee and manage sourcing of surface preparations processing equipment, validation, and launch.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement advanced manufacturing technologies.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in surface preparation technologies.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and reduce costs.
- Identify and read across technology from other industries.
