The Head of Program Surgical Instruments Microsurgery will lead and manage a global program focused on the development and market introduction of one or more medical product families, including related components and accessories. Ensure achievement of objectives related to product performance, manufacturing and development costs, time-to-market, and customer segment requirements. Oversee multidisciplinary teams and external partners, drive innovation, and ensure alignment with corporate strategy and regulatory standards.

Program Leadership & Strategy
- Lead and manage project teams and team leaders, setting long-term project and functional goals in alignment with corporate strategy and customer needs.
- Integrate and align global, cross-functional teams to achieve common objectives.
- Define team structure, roles, responsibilities, and reporting lines; ensure high performance and effective collaboration across locations and disciplines.
Project & Resource Management
- Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of all program phases from concept to market release.
- Plan and manage the program budget, monitor costs, and initiate corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure achievement of project milestones, manufacturing cost targets, and time-to-market objectives.
- Coordinate with external development partners, assess suitability, and ensure effective collaboration.
Technical & Process Excellence
- Guide the evaluation and integration of new technologies, methodologies, materials, and processes.
- Ensure robust documentation, process control, and compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
- Drive continuous improvement in organization, processes, workflows, and working methods.
Team Development & Leadership
- Lead, motivate, assess, and develop direct and indirect reports according to company leadership principles.
- Ensure required employee qualifications and propose personnel measures in coordination with HR.
- Foster a culture of innovation, encourage inventions, and support patent activities.
Stakeholder Communication & Reporting
- Regularly report project progress, costs, and milestones to senior management and key stakeholders.

Customer & Market Focus
- Ensure product development aligns with customer segment requirements and competitive environment.

Do you qualify?
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, natural sciences or STEM related.
- Ten (10) years of experience in operational project management
- Five (5) years of experience in a people management & and functional leadership role to include leading global R&D teams

The Account Executive III - Advanced Surgical Instruments will:
Own the full bag of Ethicon offerings of comprehensive surgical devices and solutions including hemostasis, energy sealing and dissection, surgical stapling and wound closure platforms. The Account Executive – ASI will have a focus on growing our energy and endomechanical platforms.
With a platform focus, Account Executive-ASI will sell surgical solutions to surgeons and hospital decision makers, primarily in an operating room setting.

Have responsible for setting priorities and making sound business decisions based on an understanding of sales opportunities within accounts.

Strong time management and planning skills are also preferred.
Hospital-based pharmaceutical or medical device experience (operating room sales) as well as experience in product sales to a highly educated/high profile customer base.

UNC Chapel Hill Main Campus is a level one trauma academic facility and includes 26 operating rooms. It is a very fast-paced environment offering multiple service lines. We are proud to be on the cutting edge of technology for a number of surgical procedures.
Our specialty procedures include cochlear implants, organ transplants, bariatric procedures, open-heart surgeries, ECMO, endovascular surgeries, flap reconstructive surgeries, stereotactic and image guided neuro surgeries, da Vinci® robotic surgeries, and Hyperthermia Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC) just to name a few.
We also have dedicated Pediatric Operating Rooms performing approximately 5,000 cases per year.
Our service lines include general surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, plastics, ENT, OMF, burn and urology. UNC is one of the two verified Burn Centers in NC and the only designated Level 1 Trauma in the Triangle.

Summary:
Performs environmental, equipment and supply maintenance services for Operating Rooms, assists in transportation of patients to and from the Operating Rooms and other duties as specified by licensed personnel
Responsibilities:
1. Changes mop water, mop, and cleans mop room and hallways, and maintains sub-sterile and scrub sink areas per policy and procedure.
2. Communicates with RN circulator and OR schedule coordinator to plan transport, assistance with positioning and holding limbs for surgical site prep. Assists with other patient care activities as assigned by circulator.
3. Obtains case needs for each OR suite including positioning aids, equipment, and room supplies. Obtains linen cart and distributes linens. Checks and restocks warmers throughout shift. Obtains bed from floor or ICU. Obtains clean patient stretcher with clean linens, IV pole, oxygen tank with adequate oxygen level. Obtains blood, blood products and medications from appropriate location. Stocks OR suites.
4. Transports specimens, blood and blood products to and from laboratories.

GENERAL SUMMARY:
An Operating Room Technician – (ORT) is a member of the surgical team who acts as a primary scrub person and must be technically adept by handling the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary before, during and after the surgical procedure. ORTs are required to perform all cases that surgeons perform. He/She may also circulate under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. The ORT must be able to take call as scheduled, anticipate the needs of the surgeon, have excellent adaptation and coping skills, have excellent organizational skills and be a team player. Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to lift patient and equipment with assistance of other personnel or without as need dictates. ORT must have excellent communication skills and maintains asepsis at all times. Must be able to serve as a resource person for certain specialties. Will assist directly with the orientation, training and serve as a mentor for new ORTs. Must be able to work closely with RNs in room and management about instrumentation and equipment for cases. Also will assist in education of all ORTs. ORTs will work primarily at CVPH main campus with assignments to Ambulatory Surgery Center.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High school graduate or equivalent.
2. Graduate of a surgical technology school.
3. CST certification required.
4. Meets requirements of pre-employment screening and physical.
5. Excellent attendance record required. Process basic windows knowledge.
6. Must be able to take call as scheduled.
7. Must be self-motivated and technically adept.
8. Able to handle a high stress level.
9. Must be able to stand for prolonged periods.
10. BLS Certified preferred or obtain within six months.
11. Knowledge of technical OR equipment and/or Anatomy & Physiology.
12. Proof of 15 hours of continuing education yearly.
