The Payload Launch Sites Support Services (PLSSS)
Program provides all launch processing support functions for Office of Space Launch (OSL). The program's two primary operating locations are Vandenberg AFB, CA, and Cape Canaveral AFS, FL. Key elements of the PLSSS program scope include satellite launch processing, satellite transport operations, satellite propellant loading operations, and satellite processing facilities O&M, clean room operations, and safety and environmental services.
The Engineer selected for this position will be assigned to the Facilities Engineering team and must have the ability to obtain a Top-Secret security clearance so they can work with teammates to accomplish the proper sustainment and operations of U.S. Government security systems supporting Launch processing activities.
Summary of Key Duties for this position:
-Assist in the sustainment and operations of the Enterprise Access Control System, Perimeter Detection System, Operational and Security Closed Circuit Video Systems, Video Walls, Monitors and displays, computers and networks.
-Design, configure, document, and troubleshoot IP Networks & VMware environments.
-Apply cybersecurity fundamentals to networking equipment, including hardening, analysis, vulnerability management.
-Interface and brief engineering efforts to Lockheed leadership, U.S. Government, and Satellite Vehicle Contractor personnel.
-Perform final inspection and develop corrective actions for non-conformance items.
-Gather and review data concerning systems and equipment specifications, company, or government restrictions, required completion date, and solution feasibility.
-Monitor and report progress of several concurrent projects to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules.
**Basic Qualifications:**
- US Citizen with active TS/SCI clearance.
- Ability to work occasional odd shifts.
- Must be able to work offsite, including some out-of-state travel.

As a Security Systems Technician, you will support the U.S. Navy's mission by installing, configuring, and monitoring a wide array of security technologies. In this role, you will assist with maintaining critical systems, ensuring they perform optimally, and contributing to the safety and security of the Shipyard.

**Minimum Qualifications:**

+ 1+ years of experience working with PLC, PLR, UPS, fiber optic video and data transmission equipment, and IP-based packet-switching telecommunications systems.
+ 1+ years of experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting security-related equipment components, including BMS, Maglocks, network cabling, serial cabling, solenoids, door strikes, electric door handles, and relays
+ Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Practical knowledge of electronics principles and participation in security system installations

Salado Isolation Mining Contractors, LLC (SIMCO), managing and operating contractor of the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) is currently seeking a qualified individual to serve as a **_Security Systems Specialist_** and join our team located in Carlsbad, New Mexico.
**Responsibilities**
This position supports Safeguards and Security (S&S) operations. The primary role of this position is to assist in the administration of physical security systems such as physical access control systems (PACS) and video assessment and surveillance systems (VASS). The successful candidate will monitor daily system performance to ensure proper functionality and must possess or obtain sufficient understanding of Site systems to assist end users in performing basic troubleshooting to restore functionality during system disruptions. If necessary, the system specialist will liaise with and support cognizant engineers or other technical experts to resolve issues which are beyond the scope of basic troubleshooting. Candidate will assist in developing training for end users, including providing demonstrations as necessary. Candidate will perform routine tests of security systems. Candidate must have or obtain sufficient understanding of manufacture's specifications and site requirements to provide their supervisor and S&S management with information necessary to make decisions on compliance, significant issue resolution, and lifecycle sustainment. Candidate will perform other duties as assigned.
