The Lead, Sustainability Reporting Analyst is responsible for driving the company's enterprise-wide sustainability reporting strategy, overseeing the collection, validation, governance and communication of ESG (environmental, social and governance) data to ensure transparency, regulatory compliance, and alignment with globally recognized sustainability frameworks. As global sustainability disclosure requirements evolve, leads the maintenance of accurate, auditable reporting processes and supports internal stakeholders in meeting compliance and reporting objectives.
As a key Sustainability subject matter expert, this role establishes and leads scalable, auditable processes for ESG data management and reporting that contribute to sustainability disclosures, and support internal processes that reinforce the company's commitment to responsible and sustainable business practices.
**Major Responsibilities**
**ESG Data Strategy and Management**
+ Serve as a key advisor on Scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas emissions, leading cross-functional efforts to improve data accuracy and completeness.
+ Oversee the preparation of Sustainability and Impact report, required regulatory disclosure reports and dashboards for internal and external use.
+ Lead the data management and reporting of sustainability ratings and rankings platforms (e.g., CDP, ISS, Ecovadis) while also collaborating with stakeholders to work to improve the outcomes of these ratings and rankings.
**Reporting & Compliance**
+ Monitor and interpret applicable Sustainability regulations and disclosure standards (e.g., SASB, GHG Protocol, CSRD) to ensure the company is up to date and acting on new regulations and disclosures as they evolve.
+ Lead efforts to create and document repeatable and scalable processes to ensure accurate and compliant reporting.
+ Develop processes for upcoming assurance and disclosure requirements and support preparation of associated data and documentation.
**Cross-functional Leadership**
+ Act as a strategic partner to senior leaders and business units (e.g., operations, supply chain, legal, HR, finance, and others) to collect and verify sustainability data, fostering ownership and accountability for data quality and sustainability performance.
+ Lead internal education on reporting requirements and assist with answering sustainability-related queries from stakeholders and customers.
+ Serve as a point of contact for sustainability-related inquiries from investors, customers and internal stakeholders.
**Program & Project Leadership**
+ Lead or contribute to strategic sustainability initiatives, driving timelines, deliverables, and performance metrics.
+ Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPI's) and evaluate reporting-related processes and recommend improvements.
+ Continuously evaluate and optimize ESG reporting processes, tools and technologies to increase efficiency and reduce risk.
Minimum Job Requirements
**Education**
+ Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business, Engineering, Accounting, or a related field.
**Work Experience**
+ 7 years of relevant experience in ESG reporting, environmental data analysis, project management, audit, finance, compliance, or sustainability-related fields.
+ Proven leadership in applying global ESG frameworks and managing complex data reporting projects.

**Job Description**
We are seeking a Sr. Program Manager, Sustainability Reporting and Engagement to join our dynamic sustainability team. This individual will be responsible for developing and refining our ESG policies, project managing our annual sustainability reports, preparing disclosures for third-party ESG ratings and rankings, and supporting our regulatory compliance strategies and workstreams. The role also involves stakeholder engagement, such as engaging employees, cross-functional departments, and external communities on sustainability related work and topics.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of key sustainability frameworks (e.g. SASB, TCFD, GRI) and ratings (CDP, S&P CSA, MSCI, Sustainalytics), combined with technical writing capabilities and strong project management skills.
**Essential Duties & Responsibilities:**
**Sustainability policies:**
+ Evolve and refine our comprehensive ESG policies, including human rights policy and environmental policies.
+ Conduct benchmarking analysis and identify policy improvement opportunities.
+ Manage internal and external publication of ESG policies.
+ Integrate ESG guidelines into other company policies.
**ESG reporting and disclosure:**
+ Project manage the preparation and publication of annual sustainability reports, aligning with key reporting frameworks such as GRI, TCFD, and SASB. **Sustainability regulatory compliance: **
+ Stay informed on the latest developments in global sustainability disclosure regulations and requirements (e.g., CSRD, California Climate Accountability Package, CSDDD, etc.).
+ Support development of compliance strategies and roadmap.
+ Support regulatory gap assessments and gap closure workstreams, such as double materiality assessment, EU taxonomy analysis, and climate risk assessment and mitigation.

**Stakeholder engagement:**
+ Engage relevant teams to build WD's position, POVs, and strategy on key ESG topics.
+ Engage ESG rating agencies to stay on top of evolving scoring rubrics and improve our scores.

**Qualifications**
**Required: **
+ Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
+ Advanced certifications or qualifications in sustainability (e.g., standards, ESG certifications) are a plus.
+ 7+ years of experience in sustainability policy, reporting and disclosures, or a related field.
+ Expert level involvement in the Annual Sustainability report preparation/publication process, in a large corporation.
+ Proven expertise in key ESG frameworks (GRI, TCFD, SASB, etc.), including a strong understanding of their requirements and application in reporting.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$189,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. **Responsibilities**
+ Prioritize program goals, understand and translate other stakeholders' needs into program goals and prioritized deliverables with minimal assistance, and contribute to decisions on prioritizing goals and deliverables.
+ Analyze datasets relating to energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, and other sustainability and business metrics, including cross-functional datasets.
+ Translate findings into clear, concise, and compelling metrics, narratives, and supporting graphics for both technical and non-technical audiences.
+ Define user requirements and translate business needs into data questions.
+ Identify patterns, trends, and causes of observed changes and predict near-term changes in performance, enabling proactive strategy adjustments.
