Reporting to the VP, Sustainability Reporting and Financial Solutions (part of the Chief Accounting Officer's team) the Sustainability Reporting Manager will play a critical role in the establishment and ongoing success of IDEX's global sustainability (environmental, social, and governance) reporting program by designing data collection processes, creating policies and procedures, establishing controls, preparing compliant reports, and managing assurance processes. This is an exciting role with a growing and diversified company that allows for immediate impact to shape and influence a function that is evolving. This individual will work closely with finance and operations personnel across all domestic and international businesses as well as individuals within Finance and the Chief Sustainability Officer's team at Corporate. Of critical importance will be this individual's ability to understand, coordinate and manage dataflows in a complex and matrixed organization, while establishing credible working relationships across departments and hierarchical levels throughout the company.
This position will be hybrid, with remote working on Mondays and Fridays and office working Tuesday through Thursday at IDEX's Northbrook, IL Corporate office.
**Essential Functions**
- Understand IDEX's global sustainability strategy, commitments, and initiatives and be able to translate into regulatory reporting requirements
- Understand IDEX's global sustainability reporting requirements, including timelines and compliance reporting strategies, and develop and execute the necessary actions to achieve success
- Monitor changes in the global sustainability regulatory environment and provide input on those changes impacting IDEX, including collaborating with external consultants, as necessary
- Collaborate with other corporate functions to understand and assess the impact of any acquisitions, divestitures, or legal entity restructurings on IDEX's sustainability reporting requirements
- Understand IDEX's current financial and sustainability reporting processes and systems, and support any system or process optimization opportunities
- Develop and rollout global policies and support implementation by business units
- Design and rollout global sustainability data collection processes and control procedures via collaboration with internal audit to ensure data integrity
- Manage the periodic sustainability data collection process and ensure that IDEX is collecting data in the most effective and efficient ways
- Take a lead role in preparing periodic sustainability compliant/regulatory reports and provide input for additional voluntary sustainability reports
- Conduct regular gap assessments of existing qualitative and quantitative content with disclosure requirements
- Monitor and support ongoing business unit compliance with IDEX's policies, procedures, and controls
- Perform flux analyses on sustainability data collected and manage anomaly resolution
- Collaborate with the Internal and External Audit functions and manage periodic assurance processes
- Assist with global training and knowledge sharing initiatives
- Continually evaluate opportunities to drive greater efficiencies and effectiveness in IDEX's sustainability reporting program
- Identify and facilitate best practice and knowledge sharing amongst stakeholders
- Visit subsidiaries as necessary to build relationships and successfully execute above tasks
- Execute ad hoc duties, as required
**Experience & Education Requirements**
- Bachelor's Degree in Sustainability/Accounting/Audit
- 5+ years of progressive Sustainability/Accounting/Audit experience
- Experience with developing a sustainability data collection and reporting program preferred
- Knowledge of global sustainability reporting frameworks, such as EU CSRD, GHG Protocol, TCFD, and ISSB
- Familiarity with ESG data collection systems and Workiva reporting system

The compensation range for this position is $124,100.00 - $186,100.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.

The UPS Sustainability Team is responsible for developing the strategy of and executing initiatives to enable the decarbonization of UPS' global operations. The team works cross-functionally to design and execute greenhouse gas reduction solutions across all business units and modes of transportation, as well as to design customer-facing sustainable logistic products. We leverage the power of data to manage and measure the progress of our initiatives, meet voluntary and regulatory disclosures, and enable analysis to make sound, financially prudent recommendations. This role will focus on managing processes to calculate carbon emissions, leading decarbonization initiatives, and developing and implementing sustainable transportation solutions for our customers. **Key Roles and Responsibilities** **include:**
**Lead the development and commercialization of sustainable transportation solutions, specifically customer emissions reporting.**
**Support the development of UPS' decarbonization strategies.**
**Develop the roadmaps and business cases for and lead cross-functional initiatives to reduce UPS' greenhouse gas emissions.**
**Support the leadership team to develop materials to inform senior stakeholders of sustainability strategy and progress, including the Board of Directors, Executive Leadership Team, and Sustainability governance committees.**

**Overview**
VOX Global, a strategic communications firm, is accepting applications for our Sustainability Reporting fellowship. This position will support VOX's award-winning Sustainability Strategy and Reporting team in their work developing sustainability and ESG reporting strategies and materials, crafting environmental programming, conducting materiality assessments, and communicating impact stories for clients ranging from Fortune 10 companies to midsized businesses across the globe.
**The fellowship is a paid, full-time** **,** **9** **-month** **position** **based in** **our** **Washington, DC** **,** **or Indianapolis, IN** **,** **offic** **es** **.** **We are l** **ooking for someone to** **join our team** **in October** **.** This is a hybrid role, with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. Knowledge about reporting frameworks such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), and the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) is a plus.
