Overview
As the Electrical Engineering Leader of the M.C. Dean Sustainability team, you will build a team and lead efforts to enhance the performance, safety, and reliability of electrical systems at various facilities. This role combines leadership and management along with expertise in power systems studies, power quality analysis, and electrical engineering to ensure electrical system health and compliance with safety and regulatory standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including facilities management, operations, and engineering, to drive sustainable practices while maintaining operational excellence and cost-effectiveness.
Responsibilities
This position will be a hands-on leadership role responsible for performing these tasks and developing an Engineering team to perform these under your direction:
+ Perform detailed arc flash hazard analysis in accordance with IEEE 1584 and NFPA 70E standards.
+ Perform short-circuit, protective device coordination, and load flow studies.
+ Develop electrical system models using software such as SKM, PowerTools, ETAP, or EasyPower.
+ Collect and interpret site-specific electrical data, including one-line diagrams, equipment ratings, and protective device settings.
+ Develop and update electrical one-line diagrams for client facilities.
+ Prepare and review arc flash reports, including incident energy calculations and recommended PPE levels.
+ Provide technical guidance and support to clients on electrical safety compliance and risk mitigation.
+ Collaborate with field technicians, safety personnel, and project managers to ensure accurate data collection and project execution.
+ Participate in the development and delivery of training materials on electrical safety and arc flash aware
Qualifications
+ Applicants selected must hold a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field with minimum of 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on leadership existing buildings and infrastructure.
+ Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information; **Ability to obtain & maintain a Top-Secret Clearance required.**
+ Applicants selected must hold a PE license.
+ Possess a valid/active U.S. Work Authorization
+ Knowledge of electrical power and distribution systems including primary power, lighting, fire, security, and control systems.
+ Experience interpreting electrical drawings, utility coordination, and protective relaying schemes.
+ Experience with pricing and developing proposals for engineering scopes of work.
**Candidate Expectations:**
+ PE or ability to obtain professional license.
+ Experience in conducting Arc Flash Hazard Analysis using NFPA 70E and IEEE standards.

+ Be comfortable building and leading a multidisciplinary team.

+ Maintain up-to-date knowledge of codes and standards related to electrical safety and power systems.

Work you'll do:
As a Manager within the Sustainability: Gi3 practice, you will advise clients on sustainability and social Federal C&I programs and manage and facilitate the analysis and documentation of such opportunities. Work you'll do:
As a Senior Consultant within Sustainability: Gi3 practice, you will advise clients on sustainability and social Federal C&I programs and facilitate the analysis and documentation of such opportunities.
