Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Educates individuals, groups, or teams on the rules, strategies, and techniques for the sport.
  • Assists in organization and implementation of practice sessions.
  • Trains, encourages, and motivates athletes to prepare them for games.
  • Teaches safety rules and regulations and ensures they are enforced.
  • Develops physical conditioning programs that equip athletes to meet their potential.
  • Evaluates team members to determine fitness levels and potential; assigns positions or roles to athletes based on strengths and weaknesses.
  • Ensures athletes are using equipment properly and safely.
  • Identifies the strengths and weaknesses of players and modifies coaching strategies accordingly.
  • Remains current on changes in rules, coaching philosophies and techniques, and technology relevant to particular sport or sports.

Description

Under the supervision of the Pool Manager, the Pool Supervisor is responsible for the completion of daily tasks assigned to ensure and maintain a safe and welcoming environment. Job Summary

The Swimming Pool Attendant is responsible for ensuring guest and employee safety in the pool area. He/she is also responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the pool, exercise room and pool area.

Education & Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
  • Successful completion of Red Cross or equivalent Water/Life Safety course.

Physical Requirements

  • Ensure the safety of all exercise equipment by checking daily or as directed by the Property Engineer, if applicable.
  • Ensure the upkeep, cleanliness and housekeeping of the pool area; utilize a pool area checklist to monitor quality on a regular basis.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of pool restrooms/locker rooms and maintain a sufficient inventory of supplies.
  • Ensure the upkeep of the pool by performing general cleaning including pool furniture.
  • Assist as needed with the processing of pool area linen to ensure that a supply of towels is maintained at all times.
  • Ensure the maintenance, housekeeping and upkeep of the spa/whirlpool (if applicable).
  • Sweep pool area, empty ash urns and trash containers.
  • Complete daily reports and logs as required.

  • Team Management. In conjunction with head coach, meeting with student-athletes and team to better understand and impact culture.
  • Compliance. Attend all coach education meetings, promote a culture of compliance, etc.
  • Logistics. In conjunction with Director of Operations, identify flights, hotels, restaurants for team travel trips.
  • Staff. Cohesively work with Diving Coaches as well as Men's Coaching staff to promote an environment of Aquatics excellence.

    The expected pay for this position is $74,000-77,100 per annum.
