Roles & Responsibilities- Observes appropriate safety procedures and works to applicable codes and guidelines.
- Utilize routine and non-standard work orders, written and verbal instructions to build and test subassemblies and assemblies.
- Operate manufacturing tools and equipment to perform electro-mechanical assembly operations, inspection, and documentation.
- Use common measurement tools and gauges, test fixtures, Hipot and other electronic measurement equipment, and pressure test equipment to test and inspect assemblies and subassemblies.
- Reads and interprets specifications, diagrams, manuals, and other documentation.
- Willingness to be trained and use forklifts, pallet jacks, and ergonomic lift assist devices.
- Enter data on a computer terminal, such as work order progress, quality data, and labor details.
- Perform audits to ensure all necessary parts are available and free of defects to perform build and testing.
- Quickly identify and escalate any non-conformance or quality issues to the Manufacturing Manager.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement processes.
- Associated Degree, or equivalent work experience
- 4-6 years of experience with electro-mechanical assembly
- 4-6 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, and/or equivalent military environment. Automotive assembly is a plus.
- Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs and work with heavy equipment, tools, and supplies.
- Required to operate in various positions around fixed equipment and machinery, including using lifts, ladders, and scaffolding.
- Must wear and work in personal protective equipment.
- Ability to utilize ladders or other high structures to work at heights of ten feet or higher.
- Previous work around cranes, hoists, and forklifts.
- Experience with high-temperature, high-power industrial systems (energy, thermal processing, rockets, etc.).
- IPC/WHMA-A-620 certified
- Proficiency in various welding techniques and the ability to maintain welding equipment.

Reports To: Production Supervisor
Location: Portland, Oregon
Shift time: 4pm - 12am
The General Production Operator is trained in Standard Operating Procedures to operate all equipment and effectively perform the duties of the position. This may include supporting the entire packaging process, transporting pallets of product, loading and unloading shipments, or any other task as designated by the Production Management. The General Production Operator may assist in the cycle count/inventory accuracy program as needed.
Role Responsibilities
- Properly operate weight scale and heat sealer
- Place lids on cans, assemble boxes for packaging canned products, fill and seal boxes, and stack pallets.
- Properly sample bags and sacks at all bagging locations.
- Read production schedule, work order(s), shipping/receiving order(s) to determine items to be moved or distributed, daily
- Receive inbound deliveries and/or stage and load outbound deliveries – Complete all documentation as required
- Pick materials from pick lists and deliver / transfer to appropriate area in facility
- Maintain perpetual inventory log and manage all materials movement within the ERP system
- Perform daily forklift checks against PMs schedules
- Rotate/store stock according to date coding and allergen protocol
- Return all remaining materials from production runs back into inventory and finalize control documents on said changes (additions/deletions) as required
- Maintain a vigilant posture and practice on personal safety and product integrity.
- Follow proper sanitation procedures as described in the associated SOP.
- Maintain all associated work areas in a clean, neat manner during the entire shift.
- Safely handle chemicals and effectively clean all designated plant areas.
- Remove plant generated waste to the trash compactor and safely operate the compactor.
- Attend all company mandated training sessions – these include Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices, etc.
- Can perform minor maintenance on associated equipment

Job Description
This position is responsible for:
- Properly cleans and sanitizes all equipment used in the handling, processing, packaging, and storing of all products, raw, and pasteurized.
- Records Ph of all waste water dumped in the sewer. Make sure it has been properly neutralized to a Ph of 6.5 to 9 prior to dumping
- Covers all electrical panels when cleaning around them.
- Cleans the exterior of all tanks, lines, floors, walls and ceiling on a daily basis.
- Ensures all hook ups are made correctly prior to C.I.P.
- Reports any unsafe areas or accidents to a supervisor immediately.
- Checks chemical titration strengths daily and notes results on C.I.P. charts on a daily basis
- Reports any equipment or other problems to supervisor and makes use of maintenance work orders as needed
- Changes all air blows on pasteurized side on a daily basis
- Changes all syringe plugs OMI ports in Raw Silo room and on pasteurized Tuesdays and Fridays.
- Fills out all C.I.P. charts with complete and accurate information as required by Company, State, and Federal rules and regulations.
- Maintains appropriate dress and personal appearance standards. Knows, understands and adheres to all company policies and procedures. Follow all GMP’s.
- Promotes and maintains company goodwill in all areas. Assists others and performs other tasks as appropriate and/or necessary. Helps maintain the positive image of the company in the trade.
- Wears proper safety equipment: rubber gloves, safety glasses or face mask and apron.
- Other duties as assigned.

Hourly Range: $23.96 - $26.63
