The System & Network Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day management, maintenance, and optimization of the organization's network infrastructure and server environments. You will work closely with both the Network and Systems Engineers providing support, troubleshooting and implementing new deployments. This role ensures the reliability, security, and efficiency of all IT systems, providing technical support and implementing best practices to meet business needs.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points).
- Manage and maintain Voice over IP systems and technologies including call trees, hunt groups, DID's, softphones, etc.
- Implement and enforce security protocols, including firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection systems.
- Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools including but not limited to Microsoft Windows Server, VMware, Microsoft365, EntraID and Azure.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights across systems and networks.
