Join our team as a Systems Administrator, in the Houston area! This role, under limited supervision, involves analyzing, configuring, maintaining, and repairing system servers and application components to meet company performance goals and ensure user satisfaction. You'll handle tasks such as server installation, evaluation, configuration, upgrading, hardware maintenance, and more. Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:

+ Strong knowledge of Windows Server (2016 and above), Active Directory, File/Print services, and Group Policy.
+ Proficiency in Active Directory user provisioning and management.
+ Familiarity with system/network logging, monitoring, and alerting tools.
+ General understanding of networking and distributed computing concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, IPsec, NFS, SMB, iSCSI).

Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey is seeking a Systems Administrator III for the Office of Advanced Research Computing (OARC). Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • Supports the university's Advanced Research Computing (ARC) infrastructure, including High Performance Computing (HPC), High-Throughput Computing (HTC), and Data-Intensive Computing environments.
  • Manages High Performance Computing services in a multiuser environment.
  • Helps build relationships in Rutgers' research community and gathering requirements.
  • Manages end-user accounts and usage utilizing queuing software (schedulers) and other tools.
  • Provides system services and analyze system performance for stakeholders, internal teams and intended end users.
  • Assists with all activities necessary to activate new operating systems or new releases of an existing systems, including analysis, design, implementation, and related documentation.
  • Assists with all activities necessary to expand an existing operating system or significant expansion of an existing system, including analysis, design, implementation, and related documentation.
  • Assists analyzing systems performance and modify programs to increase the efficiency of operation.
  • Assists with reinstatement of integrity of system as quickly as possible following an outage in order to minimize work and data loss.

  • Works with the rest of the OARC team in the development of training materials and user education for internal and external use as needed.

  • Work on projects, systems, and issues of medium to high complexity, providing daily operations support, maintenance, and administration for servers
  • Take ownership of complex issues to support Department business

Required:

  • Must reside in Tallahassee or the surrounding area and report to the office 5 days a week
  • Flexibility to work hours between 7:00 AM & 7:00 PM, after hours, weekends, and either on a rotation or as part of a regular and on-call work schedule
  • Bachelor's Degree or technical institute degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 2-3 years of experience with Server 2012 R2, 2016, 2019, and 2022
  • 2-3 years of IIS Administration
  • 2-3 years of experience with network communications, including TCP/IP and DNS Samba/CIFS file sharing and NTFS permissions
  • 3-5 years of IT work experience in infrastructure/network environments in systems operations, support, maintenance, and administration
  • 5-8 years of professional experience in information systems engineering or another related field

Preferred:

  • Strong professional experience in Microsoft Azure cloud systems
  • Experience with other cloud providers such as AWS or GCP
  • Professional experience in the administration of Microsoft software
  • Professional experience supporting middleware such as API Management, IT Service Automation tools, and batch job services

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor

dditionally, Consultant will provide a nonbillable Delivery Lead to provide day to day governance and management of the Consultant Worker team including:
• Planning: Participate in resource planning sessions with Adobe within the demand planning process (for forecasting of capacity to staff projects).
• Resource Selection Management: Performing initial screening and assessment of each resource.
• On-Boarding: Develop new hire procedures encompassing Adobe and Consultant policies to ensure proper resource on-boarding.
• Off-Boarding and Backfill Management: Develop checklist and procedures encompassing Adobe and Consultant policies to ensure proper resource Off-Boarding and coordination of resource replacement and backfill when required.
• HR and Resource Performance Management: Hiring, Benefits, Resources Administration, and resource issue resolution
• Resource Retention and Monitoring: Coordinate regular meetings with Consultant's resources to ensure issues are resolved proactively.
• Track any issues or concerns as relates to the performance by Consultant resources as reported to Consultant's onsite Delivery Lead by the Adobe.
• Engage with Adobe personnel designated by Adobe in a Quarterly Business Review process (i.e., to include, at a minimum, Adobe's Project Manager, Adobe's overall Consultant relationship owner, and representative(s) from Adobe's Sourcing and Consultant Management department). Requests for each Quarterly Business Review will be made by the Consultant by email within 5 business days of the quarter ending if Adobe has not already pre-scheduled meetings for this purpose.
• Change Management Coordination: Coordinate the overall change management process that is described below.
• Financial and Resource-Based Reporting: Track financial and operational based metrics and provided reports as described below.
