**What you Will Do:**
Pratt & Whitney Engine Design & Systems Integration (EDSI) is a dynamic engineering organization focused on the development and certification of military, commercial and industrial gas turbine engines.
The EDSI organization is responsible for the integration of components, modules and sub-systems into world class commercial and military propulsion systems. This includes engine performance, operability, system level modeling and simulation, validation and verification of performance and operability requirements, and functional engine and air vehicle systems integration. EDSI also defines engine architecture, system and structural design as well as manages all requirements across the program.
This posting is for a Propulsion System Analysis (PSA) Engineer in the EDSI organization supporting Special Technology Programs (STP). The EDSI PSA role supports the Special Technology Programs (STP) EDSIT and SIPT. This position is highly inter-disciplinary and collaborative, requiring excellent communication skills.
+ Perform technical tasks related to performance / modeling / operability.
+ Execute analysis to determine component and engine performance/operability characteristics relative to expectations and requirements
+ Perform trade studies on hardware and software changes to achieve performance & operability requirements.
+ Work with CIPTs and EDSIT to quantify impacts of proposed design changes and make recommendations arriving at an optimal system solution.
+ Contribute, maintain, and update the engine aero-thermo model (NPSS), review and support internal and external conventional model releases.
+ Support and contribute to relevant integration (IPT, SSIPT, EDSIT, & SIPT) meetings.
**Qualifications You Must Have:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Aerospace Engineering or related field and 2+ year(s) of experience or an Advanced Degree.
+ Knowledge of engine performance, cycle analysis, engine matching, and test analysis integration.
+ Expertise with Unigraph and NPSS.

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

The Boeing Company's, Boeing Global Services (BGS) Central Maintenance Computing (CMCS) has an immediate and exciting opportunity for a **CMCS Electrical System Design & Analysis Engineer (Lead)** to support multiple critical programs in **Hazelwood, Missouri** or **Berkeley, Missouri** .
The electrical design work will be in support of developing maintenance equipment to include connections between equipment and aircraft subsystems, network infrastructure, and computing hardware supporting instrumentation and network system connections. Additionally, the engineer will provide support for fabrication, installation/connection, and required verification to deliver a ready-for-test setup. The equipment and software for the CMCS is used to support all phases of platform/weapon development and sustainment lifecycle. This individual will work in a team environment to develop, test, and repair the hardware design for the CMCS system.
A System Design Electrical Engineer in this role works with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements, and then analyzes and translates requirements into system, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.
A System Design Electrical Engineer also performs tests and validations to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements, as well as monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
A System Design Electrical Engineers solves problems concerning other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle, while researching specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs.

**Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):**

**What you'll do:**
Works within the System Performance Analysis group. The System Performance Analysis group conducts advanced system studies to support capital projects, including but not limited to transient stability, voltage stability, electromagnetic coupling, insulation coordination, geomagnetically induced currents, electromagnetic field, and Power Quality using PSS/E, ASPEN OneLiner, PSCAD, and Alstom electrical engineering technologies.
More specifically, responsibilities include the following duties:
+ Conduct system performance analysis and provide solutions to support planning, operations, engineering, regulatory and financial needs of the company.
+ Perform electrical engineering studies related to power system stability, reliability, and compliance.
+ Perform transient and voltage stability studies, insulation coordination studies, electromagnetic field studies, and studies of geomagnetically induced currents and geomagnetic disturbance.
+ Perform power-flow analyses in support of system dynamic stability, system restoration, and geomagnetic disturbance analyses.
+ Develop and maintain power system models.
+ Calculate electromagnetic interference for overhead and underground transmission lines.

**Job Description**
Works within the System Performance Analysis group. The System Performance Analysis group conducts advanced system studies to support capital projects, including but not limited to transient stability, voltage stability, electromagnetic coupling, insulation coordination, geomagnetically induced currents, electromagnetic field, and Power Quality using PSS/E, ASPEN OneLiner, PSCAD, and Alstom electrical engineering technologies.
More specifically, responsibilities include the following duties:
- Conduct system performance analysis and provide solutions to support planning, operations, engineering, regulatory and financial needs of the company.
- Perform electrical engineering studies related to power system stability, reliability, and compliance.
- Perform transient and voltage stability studies, insulation coordination studies, electromagnetic field studies, and studies of geomagnetically induced currents and geomagnetic disturbance.
- Perform power-flow analyses in support of system dynamic stability, system restoration, and geomagnetic disturbance analyses.
- Develop and maintain power system models.
- Calculate electromagnetic interference for overhead and underground transmission lines.
**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:**
_Technical Expertise:_ Exhibits journey level proficiency plus advanced knowledge that enables the engineer to serve as a leader within the assigned organization. Keeps abreast of new products, developments, technologies, procedures and equipment. Understands and analyzes interrelationships between systems and component equipment. Interprets codes and regulations, and develops standards relevant to the area of assignment.
_Leadership & Guidance:_ Provides guidance and exercises judgment and discretion in providing guidance and direction to other Engineers. Leads, facilitates and coordinates work activities of others within the work group, team, department, corporate entity, or those external to the company as required to perform all routine engineering work. Ensures all work activities are performed in accordance with the policies, practices, standards and rules of the company and complies with the regulations and procedures required by external agencies. Promotes engineering professionalism and standards. Coordinates and conducts training sessions.
_Planning & Organization Ability:_ Participates in the development of plans by establishing measurable goals, objectives and requirements for specific areas of responsibility. Coordinates the development of input necessary to establish projected cost of all projects. Is proficient in use of scheduling techniques (CPM, PERT, flow charts, etc.) for budget and planning activities. Identifies and initiates appropriate corrective action when objectives are not being met.
_Problem Solving & Initiative:_ Identifies, clarifies, resolves, and initiates solutions to routine and/or complex problems that sometimes involve analysis of inadequate or conflicting data. Demonstrates the ability to divide problems into component steps. Consistently looks for and develops opportunities and presents new ideas and approaches.
_Communication:_ Coordinates the work of other engineers in an efficient and effective manner. Develops, reviews or prepares reports on complex technical subjects clearly, concisely and effectively, in a manner suitable for presentation to management, professional societies, regulatory bodies, etc. Leads and facilitates meetings effectively.Interpersonal Skills: Possess collaborative and consensus building skills. Functions as a team leader and member. Networks upward and downward in several disciplines inside and outside the AEP system. Leverages network to get things done.
_Decision Making:_ Makes decisions affecting plans and goals based on analysis of uncertain input and outcomes. Uses diverse approaches to make decisions in the absence of a definite framework or where few precedents exist. Can handle conflicting interests related to approaches on projects or studies. Analyzes options and risks and possesses the experience and knowledge to assess the risk of decisions and act accordingly. Makes decisions that affect the operations or results of the department and may have some impact on a major project.
_Business Awareness & Characteristics:_ Exhibits an awareness of AEP's competitive position and how business decisions impact their organizational unit. Understands the specific goals and objectives of their individual organizational unit and is proficient in establishing measurable goals and objectives. Effectively manages project budgets using cost management techniques and understands how their decisions and recommendations impact AEP's expenses and revenues. Demonstrates an awareness of profit incentives, optimizing growth of customers' businesses and using our services to attract new business.
**Minimum Requirements for SG 08 Engineer Sr. (Average Starting Pay between $96,110-$24,940):**
+ Has typically acquired 6 or more years of related engineering experience along with a Bachelor's degree in engineering in a program accredited by ABET*; OR 4 years of related engineering experience AND a Master's degree or PhD in engineering from a program accredited by ABET*;
+ Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in any U.S. state or Puerto Rico** is encouraged and preferred.*ABET - Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology.
Acceptable alternative is:
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering (non-ABET) AND a master's degree or PhD in engineering from a university with an ABET accredited bachelor's program.** Confirmation is required to ensure the PE obtained in Puerto Rico aligns with NCEES standards.
**VP or above may waive the requirement for a degree from a university with an Non-ABET accredited program

  • Maintain, enhance, and support existing SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) planning models, including stories, data actions, and integration pipelines.
  • Oversee and manage data load processes and refresh schedules to ensure accuracy, performance, and reliability.

About you:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related fields or related work experience
  • 3+ years of experience working with Financial Planning and Forecasting Data Domain or related field
  • 2+ years of experience with financial forecasting technology (e.g. Anaplan, Adaptive, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP BPC); SAP Analytics Cloud preferred
  • Experience in using SAC Excel Add-in and/or Analysis for Office or similar reporting tools
  • Experience working with SQL, ETL tools and reporting or visualization tools (e.g. Power BI or Domo or similar tools)
  • Solid problem solving, analytical, data curiosity, data mining, data creation and consolidation skills
  • Support conclusions with a clear, understandable story that leverages descriptive statistics, basic inferential statistics, and data visualizations
  • Willingness to ask questions about business objectives and the measurement needs for a project workstream, and be able to measure objectives & key results
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak to both business and technical teams, and translate ideas between them

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with scripting for custom reporting using JavaScript, React or Python
  • SAP Certification in SAP Analytics Cloud or related technologies
  • Experience in retail or e-commerce analytics

**Responsibilities:**
+ Collaborate with the Lead Data Analyst and FP&A teams to design and develop new SAC models that align with evolving business needs.
+ Design, optimize, and maintain SAC data actions, stories and data pipelines in accordance with industry's best practices.
+ Maintain, enhance, and support existing SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) planning models, including stories, data actions, and integration pipelines.

This Sr. Principal Engineering role is an opportunity to lead model-based development and model-based systems engineering of engine fuel systems across military and commercial gas turbine and hybrid electric propulsion systems.
