The men and women of Electric Operations ensure the delivery of safe and reliable electric service to our customers. Electric Operations is responsible for every aspect of PG&E's electric distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, asset management, business planning, restoration and emergency response.

Position Summary
Owns the command and control of planned and unplanned events on the electric distribution grid while leading a diverse team of system operators responsible for the monitoring and execution of outage response management who directs field resources (outage, emergency first responders) involved in work activities on the distribution grid. Travel to all DCC's in the territory will be required, on an as-needed basis.

This position is rotating shift work with a shift-based 8/12 hour schedule covering weekends and nights.

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of thejob posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will bebased on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience,market value, geographic location, and internal equity.Although we estimatethe successful candidate hiredinto this rolewill be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decisionwill be made on a case-by-casebasis related tothese factors.

A reasonable salary range is:

Minimum Base Salary (California) $137,000.00

Mid Base Salary (California) $84,000.00

Maximum Base Salary (California) 232,000.00


Job Responsibilities
* Reviews the quality of unplanned outage work, and determines if work can be done with or without outages.

Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS) is seeking a full-time Control System Technologist to work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide diagnostic fielding and development support in a national laboratory environment. The Stockpile Experimentation & Operations (SEO) organization is looking for a highly motivated Technologist to collaborate in the design, assembling, testing, maintaining, and operation of control systems used in support of the Joint Actinide Shock Physics Experimental Research (JAPSER) program.

**Responsiblities**
Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS) is seeking a full-time Control System Technologist to work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide diagnostic fielding and development support in a national laboratory environment. The Stockpile Experimentation & Operations (SEO) organization is looking for a highly motivated Technologist to collaborate in the design, assembling, testing, maintaining, and operation of control systems used in support of the Joint Actinide Shock Physics Experimental Research (JAPSER) program.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Perform routine work of moderate complexity using technical skills with specific direction and oversight.
+ Assist in the fabrication of control system panels and related hardware.
+ Wire instruments and control panels.
+ Assist in instrumentation checks and calibrations.
+ Assist with control system acceptance tests.
+ Perform maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of control systems and related hardware.
+ Read and assist in the development of system schematics, wiring diagrams, and other related drawings.
+ Perform and support the development, validation and updating of installation, operations and testing procedures, protocols, and checklists.
**Qualifications**
+ Associate degree in field related to the position plus at least 3 years' progressive related experience or High School diploma plus 5 years' progressive related experience.
+ Familiarity or demonstrated aptitude with electrical components, circuitry, the building up and hand wiring of circuit boards, soldering, AC/DC electronics, basic hand tools, electronic test and measurement equipment, and basic electronic troubleshooting.
+ Mechanical skills are desired but not required.
+ Knowledge of instrumentation & control, electrical, mechanical, or electromechanical components.
+ Hands-on experience and troubleshooting, including 110 VAC, and 24VDC systems.
+ Ability to work well with others, as they will regularly interface with team members, other teams and outside organizations.
+ Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Experience with planning/organizing skills and initiative and be capable of employing independent judgment and knowledge to ensure that requirements are completed efficiently and on time.
+ Experience using standard office software products.
+ Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, work independently, and work as part of a team.
+ Ability to execute work in a disciplined manner to demonstrate compliance with laws, codes, orders, and MSTS policies and procedures.
+ Able to manage working at multiple sites - the Losee Road facility in North Las Vegas, Nevada, the Nevada National Security Site (located 65 miles northwest of Las Vegas, Nevada), an underground environment, and travel as needed.
+ The primary work location will be at the Nevada National Security Site (located 65 miles northwest of Las Vegas, Nevada).
+ Work schedule for this position will be 4/10's, Monday - Thursday (subject to change).
+ Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
