The System Director, Sustainability will be responsible for developing, overseeing, and leading the utilities and energy management, sustainability program, and sustainability innovation functions for the CommonSpirit Health (CSH) National Real Estate Services (NRES) team. This role will lead initiatives spanning multiple geographies and services lines within the organization, requiring administration with a unified national budget and delivery program. This will include critical functions of project intake, capital program budget development, aligning stakeholders, initiative approval, program optimization, and reporting by developing and maintaining dash boards that leverage real time data analytics. The System Director will align the NRES Sustainability program with CSH Sustainability organizational goals and objectives, ensuring they support National, Regional, and Market strategies with a focus on innovation and modernization.
This role will manage resource alignment between CSH NRES, Advocacy/Government Relations, and Supply Chain platforms to support the key strategic and programmatic initiatives in the portfolio. The SD will serve as the NRES point of contact, leading the program teams on broad strategic initiatives with multi-dimensional stakeholders, national, and regional partners.
The following represents the essential functions and responsibilities of the System Director role:
+ Develop and implement a multi-year national program strategy integrating people, processes, and technology into an innovative platform to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and reduce utility consumption.
+ Develop and implement a sustainable platform focused on providing reliable, resilient, redundant utility delivery to critical assets.
+ Build and structure teams to effectively work with industry partners to create innovative solutions to current market conditions as well as deliver forward looking solutions which can be implemented on a national scale.

+ Establish and maintain the leanest delivery structure and team possible to produce consistent results that will meet each program goal and objective.
+ Partner with key stakeholders across national services and the regions including - Supply and Service Resource Management, Finance, Clinical Engineering, IT, Clinical - Nursing, and National Clinical Services Teams, to ensure program development consistent with the CSH Climate Action Plan or CSH leadership mandates.
+ Establish policies, procedures, and guidelines for the implementation of multi-site programs, manage a systematic evaluation.
+ Report consistently on the program status to leadership and key stakeholders, develop real time dashboards, and standard reports - finances, scope, schedule, and risks.

**Qualifications**

The System Director PDC Design will be responsible for transforming, building and leading an industry leading system healthcare Design management program. This will include developing the critical Design functions to support the PDC Design (design, guidelines, project reviews/gates and post occupancy surveys), tailored project delivery, operationalization, and risk management; aligned to the specifics of each business plan and each asset type within our full Integrated Delivery Network (IDN). This position is responsible to lead the Design Platform, responsible to develop the Design Guidelines, actively support the design needs of projects. The Operations Performance team in our Performance Improvement Department is responsible in developing and implementing staffing standard practices, productivity management guidelines, labor budget target settings and other labor benchmarking tools and processes. Seeking strong finanical analyst skills, labor productivity within a large healthcare system.
This position is responsible for providing consulting services which will contribute to the fiscal and operational well-being of CommonSpirit Health, in a manner consistent with the Mission and Philosophy of CommonSpirit Health. The position is responsible for identifying needed improvements on a significant level in operating efficiencies and labor cost reductions. The position directs management engineering and other consulting services for 40+ hospitals and affiliates of CommonSpirit Health. The project work, consultation, management training and management reporting are aimed at improving the efficiency, cost effectiveness and quality of operations for all CommonSpirit Health related entities. The principal focus is on labor cost management, which currently represents an annual expense in excess of $1,500,000,000 for 35,000 FTEs. Continual significant cost reductions through process redesign and strong management of labor costs are required for the ongoing success of CommonSpirit Health.

**Qualifications**
**Minimum Qualifications:**
A minimum of 7 years of hospital management engineering and/or management consulting experience with at least 5 years of management experience with track record of having made a significant impact on his/her organization related to achievements in cost reduction and revenue enhancement, quality improvement and information systems implementation; line management experience; and teaching/mentoring experience in productivity measurement, monitoring and improvement to assist department managers in meeting or exceeding their goals (required).
Strong Preference for Productivity/Labor Management experience
