These roles go beyond traditional design work—they refine system standards, improve factory repeatability, and ensure our units are code-compliant, manufacturable, and built to the highest standards of quality and performance.



The MEP Systems Engineer will be responsible for the detailed design and implementation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and PV systems tailored for modular construction building systems. You will collaborate closely with leadership, crossfunctional design and engineering teams to integrate all technical and user experience requirements into our designs to ensure optimal functionality, sustainability, and compliance with all regulations.



Design and develop integrated MEP systems for our new and existing designs including solar energy systems, including PV and ESS, optimized for prefabricated modular construction

Ensure that solar and energy storage designs align with overall MEP system functionality and building energy requirements

Lead the creation of comprehensive design documents, schematics, component material selections and system layouts, preferably using CAD and BIM software

Provide technical leadership during the installation and commissioning phases to ensure systems meet design specifications and performance standards

Conduct system testing and validation to ensure functionality, efficiency, and safety of both MEP and PV installations

Collaborate closely with installation teams to facilitate seamless and efficient factory and onsite implementation of design

Engage in research and application of the latest technologies and practices in renewable energy and modular construction

Work with program managers and other engineering disciplines to ensure holistic integration of all systems within Samara modular units



Modular construction experience in factory builds, multi-mod, stackable and/or other hands on related experience.

Licensed Electrician or Mechanical Contractor -and/or- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Energy Systems Engineering, or a related field

Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred

Mechanical, Electrical, Solar and/or Plumbing System design

Comprehensive knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and sustainability practices relevant to MEP and renewable energy systems

Proficiency in design software such as Onshape, Revit, and/or other BIM methodologies preferred

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt designs to changing technological and regulatory landscapes

Strong communication and leadership skills, capable of driving project decisions and managing complex stakeholder relationships

Ability to travel to our factory in Mexico up to 25-40%.

**Responsibilities**

**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Ten or more years of experience in electric system operations.

+ NERC Certification
+ Knowledge of NERC, WECC, CAISO, and SCE standards, policies, and procedures.

Additional Information

At the senior level, supervisors will be responsible for providing overall coordination and leadership of dispatching activities, integration of new technology, services, workforce management and workflow processes, coordination and scheduling of functions to ensure smooth operations of the Control Center, and coaches and mentors other supervisors.
The senior level will have lead accountability for administration. This position is the critical driver in improving the overall outage and event response and for driving and improving system reliability metrics. It is also the key to managing the restoration projections and messaging to all the Eversource customers. The senior position will have ultimate responsibility of the room performance and atmosphere. Performs the Manager's functions in the Manager's absence.
The Senior Supervisor will make the final decisions regarding restoration and system configuration issues. Responsible for keeping Senior Management and internal stakeholders well informed of significant system, safety and reliability issues.
The Supervisor's role is multifaceted with responsibilities including work process and systems coordination, direct supervision of systems, distribution work activities, performance measurement, coaching, mentoring and various administrative duties. This position supervises control center staff who maintain systems integrity and initiate corrective action, prioritize and expedite network operations and repairs, prepare electrical system clearances and accurately maintain records, and ensures that work is conducted in a safe manner in accordance with policies, work methods, standards, switching and tagging and operating procedures.
**Essential Functions:**
+ Manages performance by reviewing and evaluating work of employees. Identifies, builds consensus and communicates performance measures and expected performance levels. Coordinates planned work across the processes to fulfill related service level agreements, achieve company objectives and obtain an appropriate work distribution.
+ Analyzes requests for system element outages and assesses risk to determine whether the outage will affect customer service and/or the systems integrity.
+ Identifies, develops and implements work process and practices improvements.
+ Maintains awareness of weather conditions that could adversely affect Eversource operations and disseminates this information to appropriate locations and modifies operating plans as required.
+ Prepares and distributes information regarding customer service, system conditions and historical situations to internal and external customer and stakeholders.

Role and Scope of Position:
This role develops and implements Eversource transmission System Operations Training. Training includes both classroom and on-the-job training and incorporates both conceptual and hands-on instructional methods.
**Essential Functions:**
+ Performs analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation in the context of Eversource Distribution System Operations Training.
+ Conducts System Operator Training program activities consistent with the Systematic Approach to Training, adult learning principles and training program policies and procedures.
+ Incorporates simulation into Eversource transmission System Operations Training.
+ Receives and evaluates training requests and presents to System Operations Training management.
+ Evaluates procedures, practices and regulatory changes and modifies System Operations Training materials as required.
+ Evaluates and recommends vendor provided training content and services.
+ Represents System Operations Training at meetings, on committees and at conferences.
+ Assists operations management in the coordination of response to system emergencies and participates in event review teams and incident analyses as requested by operations management.
**Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:**

+ Knowledge of electric transmission system operations and the functions of the various components that make up the Eversource electric transmission system.
+ Thorough knowledge of electric system switching and tagging procedures and practices.

Role and Scope of Position:
Plans, schedules, and coordinates activities associated with the safe, reliable and economic minute-to-minute operation of the generation, transmission and distribution facilities under the operating jurisdiction of the ESCC dispatch center. Utilizes computer programs which simulate system conditions to determine generation, transmission and distribution system reliability. In the absence of a higher level of supervision, will provide supervision during assigned shifts.
**Essential Functions:**
+ Plans, prepares, approves and issues orders for switching, grounding and tagging requirements for generation, transmission and distribution facilities under the ESCC jurisdiction in accordance with approved switching and tagging instructions and Participants' safety rules.
+ Performs computer on-line and off-line security analysis studies to evaluate the status of the generation, transmission and distribution system. Develops plans to cope with possible or projected contingency conditions on the generation, transmission and distribution system.
+ Assists the System Operations Coordinator with the reception and processing of outage requests, including making the arrangements for authorized switching personnel.
+ Determines the locations of faulted equipment, sectionalizes via SCADA control, faulted transmission and distribution system segments in order to restore customer loads. Isolate defective equipment to facilitate repairs and directs the restoration of impacted generation, transmission and distribution facilities.
+ Maintains system voltage profiles in accordance with prescribed voltage schedules by utilizing generator reactive resources, as well as reactors, load tap changing transformers, substation capacitors and pole top capacitors on the transmission, sub-transmission, and distribution system.
+ Initiates emergency procedures as requested by ISO-NE or as required by Local Control Center procedures, including the shedding of load. Reports such actions to the appropriate authorities located at the Local Control Center member companies.
+ Analyzes and reports to the appropriate department, malfunctions or problems associated with equipment under the ESCC dispatching jurisdiction including telecommunications, protective relaying, ESCC computers, and EMS/SCADA system.
+ Disseminates to ISO-NE and neighboring companies' data and pertinent information as required by contractual obligations, and procedures covering the operation of the generating, transmission, and distribution facilities.
+ Safe and secure operation of transmission, distribution and generation facilities under ESCC jurisdiction.
+ Safety of personnel and equipment through strict enforcement and application of protective switching and tagging procedures and rules.
+ Complete and accurate collection of pertinent operating data and information.
