Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a Systems Solutions Engieer to Design complex Land Mobile Radio system solutions that satisfy specific customer requirements. Systems involve L3Harris and vendor equipment, and typically include IP networks, microwave links, wireless data, RF antenna subsystems, 911 dispatch and/or other custom designed subsystems. In this role you will perform site visits and analyze existing customer technical assets, craft high quality proposal text and drawings that clearly and effectively describe the technical solutions being offered, and participate in discussions and presentations with customers, consultants, vendors and other L3Harris personnel as necessary to advance projects. You will also have the opportunity to formally present technical solutions and product information to customers, professional organizations, and consultant groups for the designs developed through the proposal process. The incumbent of this role will be responsible for coordinating technical transition of design to implementation system engineer after contract is awarded.
Essential Functions:

Qualifications:

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont, Washington State and New York State is $74,000 - $38,000. For California, Seattle, Washington D.C., Maryland Greater Washington D.C. area and New York City, the salary range for this role is 85,000 - 158,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. Eaton’s Electrical Sector is seeking a System Architect – Direct Current Solutions to develop and model direct current power systems from DC source to servers. This role may be located in Moon Township, PA (preferred), Raleigh, NC or Milwaukee, WI. The Systems Architect and the DC Systems team will work cross-functionally with multiple Eaton product lines to develop innovative solutions tailored to this emerging market. This role will lead the design and development of advanced power system solutions specifically for the data center industry.
In this role you will:
• Develop detailed power system models for direct current power distribution in data centers. Model trade-offs in cost, electrical efficiency, thermal optimization and safety protection to find optimal value for our data center customers.
• Work with Eaton experts in system modeling, power electronics and power distribution to develop specifications and boundary conditions for each product line to develop winning new products for the overall DC system.
• Work with Eaton’s system and product reliability experts to model the uptime/reliability of various DC power distribution system concepts.
• Collaborate weekly with product line teams to provide feedback and potential trade-off solutions to technical challenges during new product development.
Your Qualifications:
• Deep knowledge of data center and/or other large facility power distribution systems with understanding of AC and DC power distribution circuits, power conversion from AC to DC and associated power management and controls
• System Modeling expert with proven expertise in relevant simulation tools, e.g. PSCAD, Simulink
• Minimum (5) years experience in product development and/or engineering
• Minimum two (2) years in Direct Current power distribution systems
• Bachelors degree from an accredited institution
Preferred Qualifications:
• Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience, including ability to define systems architecture requirements and traceability to systems models across multiple levels of systems abstraction and modeling fidelity
• Experience in protective device coordination, building ground architectures, and ground techniques

The Principal Solutions Engineer will be responsible for identifying and closing new account opportunities in addition to managing customer relationships. THE PERSON:
