What You Will Do:
Responsible for conducting capacity testing of batteries for commercial, telecom and industrial systems. Ensure accurate performance evaluation of critical power systems while maintaining a strong focus on safety, precision and customer communication. Will perform on-site battery testing, analyze system performance, and assist in maintaining accurate documentation of testing procedures and results.
- Measure battery voltage, specific gravity, and fluid levels using industry-standard equipment.
- Connect and configure load banks, portable battery plants and station batteries for testing.
- Ensure accurate programming of test equipment; apply temperature correction factors as needed.
- Identify and document battery performance trends and potential failure points.
- Communicate with customers and site personnel to coordinate necessary connections and system requirements; provide technical explanations and ensure customer expectations are met.
- At least 4 years of electronics/electrical experience in the US Military required
- 4 years of Electronics experience is required
- Associates Degree in electronics/electrical or related field preferred
- Experience with voltmeters, multimeters, hydrometers and thermal monitoring equipment required.
- 4+ years in Installation of Power Systems or related field a plus.
- ERP System Experience in one of the following preferable: Oracle NetSuite (preferred), SAP, Baan, INFOR

Shift: Monday - Friday | 8am - 5pm
Compensation: First year W2 between $75K - $5K
Compensation structure is 20- 21/ hour + OT + 4% onshore / 8% offshore project commission
5,000 sign on bonus

Position Description :
The System Testing Analyst will check conditions, fluid levels, overall battery voltage, and specific gravity readings of cells, using
voltmeters and hydrometers.
• Connect sensing leads to batteries and recording cell float voltages.
• Connect portable battery plant with station battery when needed.
• Communicate with customer on all necessary connections to equipment. Connect load banks to batteries.
• Apply temperature correction factor to discharge load and program test equipment.
• Initiate capacity tests, maintaining load at the specified level throughout testing until battery terminal voltage drops
• below the specified end voltage.
• Assist customer personnel in adjustment of charger current limit and output voltage levels.
• Check voltage and polarity with a calibrated digital multimeter prior to making any battery connections.
• Check for voltage and continuity with a calibrated multimeter prior to making any connections to the load bank(s).
• Protect all cables from pinch points, sharp edges, and any short circuits.
• Safely and proficiently operate a 20' straight box truck. Understand the basic theory of reasons for capacity testing.
• Proper use of a multimeter and amp clamp. Proper use and selection of PPE.
• Understand parallel series circuits. Understand the NPG procedures for testing.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate has 2+ years of technical training and hands-on experience in an electronic/electrical role with the US Navy or
Airforce. Experience with UPS/Turbine systems and Telecom are a plus. You must also have knowledge and experience with
Oscilloscopes, Multi-meters, Hydrometers, and Computer Skills, software skills (Microsoft Word and Excel).
Additional Requirements Include:
• Must have satisfactorily completed a pre-employment assessment, background screening, pre-employment physical and DOT drug screen (hair follicle).
• Must have a valid driver's license, insurable driving history and ability to operate a motor vehicle following all traffic laws and safe, courteous driving habits.

Overview
NIWC Atlantic Software Services requires ISHPI to provide emerging Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of Navy (DON) information technology, to design, develop, engineer, and maintain systems that will improve customer organizational efficiency. ISHPI provides support in the areas of Administrative Services, Applications Integration Management, Corporate Strategy Planning and Execution, Information Assurance (IA), Information Resource Management, and Information Technology (IT) Operations. Further task includes new standards engineering, prototype installation, application development, data interoperability, system design, system management and maintenance, data collection, analysis, and other management and implementation efforts in support of data translation, data mediation, and data mapping, test and evaluation.
Responsibilities- Test all software releases, including new features, enhancements, and fixes for bugs and defects.
- Design, implement, and conduct test and evaluation procedures to ensure system requirements are met.
- Develop, release, and maintain manual and automated test procedures.
- Work across teams and coding platforms such as Appian, Service Now, Archibus
- Perform and document exploratory testing results.
- Test STIGs for functionality on IT systems.
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement automated test tools and strategies.
- Report status of test cases to project leads.
- Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios and deadlines.
- Support customer UAT events.
Qualifications
Education: BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related discipline. Education and Degree substitute: ABET accredited MS degree in stated fields will allow for 4 years of experience substitution and ABET accredited PhD in stated fields will allow for five (5) years of experience substitution.
Experience: Six (6) years of experience in Software testing, to include: designing, implementing, and conducting test and evaluation procedures. Automate software testing processes, and conduct software performance analysis. Conduct white-box testing, black-box testing, end-to-end testing, integration testing, and regression testing. QA documentation (test cases & scenarios, RTM) and bug documentation in ticket tracking system. Identify risks and constrains, contingency plans and test deliverables. Experience may be achieved simultaneously. Prior Navy related experience preferred.
