**Director of Water Systems Management**
We currently seek a high caliber Director of Water Systems Management for a long-term basis within our client's team of experienced professionals. They are a large multi-site owner side land development organization based in Los Angeles County and Orange County, CA.
**Position Summary:**
Leads the advancement of domestic and recycled water and irrigation infrastructure as well as water conservation initiatives. Oversees the management of new water projects and drive planning efforts to establish clear objectives to support the enhancement of existing water infrastructure, all while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and promoting water conservation and efficiency.
**Job Requirements**
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Provide strategic direction and oversight for all water and irrigation engineering projects, focusing on innovation and sustainability.
+ Prepares plan specifications and cost estimates related to water and irrigations infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.
+ Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations regarding water use and environmental protection.
+ Partners with Environmental Compliance to ensure regulatory compliance is met.
+ Identify opportunities for improving water conservation and efficiency, integrating advanced technologies and sustainable practices into project designs.
+ Complete highly technical work involving hydraulic analysis, applications, design, and database development utilizing geographic information systems for water resources projects, prepare engineering plans and drawing and prepare water resource planning.
+ Liaise with water purveyors, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to promote initiatives aimed at diversifying the water portfolio and enhancing the stability of long-term water resources.
+ Report to Senior Vice President and Executive Committee updates related to Water Management and Conservation efforts.
+ Remain abreast of all water systems local, state, and federal regulatory standards.
**Qualifications:**
+ Strong analytical skills, ability to use thinking and reasoning to effectively identify and solve water quality problems.
+ Experience with diverse hydraulic modeling software platforms.
+ Strong understanding of water management principles, irrigation technologies, and environmental regulations at the local, regional, state, and Federal level.
+ Demonstrated leadership experience in a director-level or similar role, with a track record of successful project execution and team management.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
+ Ability to communicate effectively with others.
+ Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
+ Ability to work in a team environment, handle multiple tasks and have a flexible attitude.

**Education and Experience:**

- Ensure system issue reporting accuracy and timeliness; deliver customer queries/products within required timelines.
- Perform ISSO/FSA tasks (configure workstations, install/patch software, maintain LAN equipment/server, manage accounts, submit tickets).
- Maintain DEERS/RAPIDS workstations per DMDC direction; coordinate equipment relocations only with SPO/ACO approval (120-day server / 90-day remote WS notice).
- Observe normal duty hours with flexibility for off-hours support.
