**Job Summary:**
Under general supervision, this position acts as a subject matter expert for Mobile Technicians. The Sr Mobile Technician is responsible for performing complex maintenance, service, and repair of J.B. Hunt trailers, containers, chassis, and power equipment at a customer site or rail yard using a mobile service truck. Technicians must be able to troubleshoot, diagnose, and complete all fleet maintenance processes while checking that units meet J. B. Hunt's specifications.
**Job Description:**
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Perform complex diagnostics, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance tasks including, but not limited to, tire replacements/flat repairs, brake repairs, electrical diagnostics, and basic structural repairs on tractor and trailer equipment Oversee recall campaigns and sign off on completion
+ Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair ABS system and specialized equipment including refrigerated units, lift gates, and frame alignment
+ May onboard and mentor new technician trainees; act as team lead to coordinate shift support and tasks
+ Follow all safety requirements while at a customer or rail yard
+ Professionally operate assigned service truck and according to company requirements; properly attend to service truck parts inventory
+ Accurately complete work orders and other written materials according to established procedures
+ Properly document damage to company equipment to estimate the cost of repairs
+ Demonstrate proficient use of a cutting torch and welding equipment to perform mid-level repairs on chassis, frames, and other equipment
+ Patch holes in trailer/container side panels and roofs ensuring all holes are sealed and water-tight
+ Perform annual AA Trailer and FHWA Brake Inspections sign-off

**Qualifications:**
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ 18 years of age for equipment up to 10,000 lbs or 21 years of age for equipment over 10,000 lbs with **3 years of experience** in semi-tractor or semi-trailer maintenance and repair, or equivalent combination of education and experience, and/or military equivalent experience
+ Demonstration of the following skills and abilities through education, certifications, military, or other experiences
+ Possess a clean motor vehicle record per J.B. Hunt guidelines
+ Able to supply your own basic tools or purchase through our toolbox purchase program
+ Willingness to work outdoors in the elements
+ Able to work across multiple shifts, including nights and/or weekends, if needed
+ DOT-certified in FHWA inspections and air brakes

**About the Role:**
