Amrize, a leading supplier of quality, construction building materials in the United States, has immediate openings for a Mobile Mechanic to support the operations in the Asphalt division. This position will be responsible for Diagnose and repair heavy equipment on-site, performing both emergency fixes and routine maintenance to ensure minimal downtime and safe operation.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair mobile heavy equipment, including loaders, excavators, haul trucks, and service vehicles.
- Perform preventative maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, and system checks to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Respond to breakdowns in the field, traveling to job sites to conduct timely repairs and reduce equipment downtime.
- Maintain accurate service records and logs of all inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Operate and manage a fully equipped service truck, ensuring tools, parts, and fluids are stocked and organized.
- Comply with all safety regulations and site protocols, using appropriate PPE and safety procedures during all tasks.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Education: High School Diploma
- Field of Study Preferred: Diesel Mechanics
- Required Work Experience: 2 years miniumun experience
- Travel Requirements: Daily travel required
- Technical knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and heavy equipment.
- Relevant certifications or training, such as in diesel mechanics, heavy equipment repair, or ASE certifications.
- Hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing heavy machinery in field or shop settings.
- Ability to work independently, often in remote locations with limited supervision.
- Strong problem-solving skills to quickly assess and fix equipment issues under pressure.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record, CDL (Commercial Driver's License) Preferably
