Position Summary :
The Talent Acquisition Associate plays a key role in supporting NYBG’s recruitment efforts by managing full-cycle hiring for part-time, entry-level, seasonal, and union positions. This role supports employment-related processes including pre-employment screenings, onboarding, and new hire orientations.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities :

Lead recruitment efforts for entry-level, seasonal, and hourly/salaried temporary roles
-
Manage hiring for union positions in accordance with collective bargaining agreements, including coordinating required examinations with department managers
-
Collaborate with hiring managers to define candidate profiles and develop tailored recruitment strategies
-
Draft and publish job postings internally and externally, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and approval protocols
-
Source candidates through diverse channels such as job fairs, open houses, colleges, technical/trade schools, and community partnerships
-
Screen resumes, conduct phone interviews, and coordinate interviews with hiring departments
-
Conduct reference checks and background screenings in compliance with NYBG policies
-
Extend job offers and facilitate onboarding and orientation for new hires, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and approval protocols
-
Partner with staffing agencies, when needed, to support temporary hiring needs
Qualifications :

1–2 years of recruitment or talent acquisition experience preferred

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with applicant tracking systems a plus
-
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport across diverse teams

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

About The Role
We are seeking a bilingual HR Assistant to provide HR support to local employees. This person will also partner with the HR department to achieve objectives that foster an employee-oriented, high-performance culture, emphasizing empowerment, quality, productivity, standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce. The Human Resources Assistant performs daily administrative tasks and services to support an effective and efficient firmwide human resources function. This role fields and distributes incoming requests, assists with HR processes and procedures, and handles administrative projects as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs, including but not limited to benefits, attendance and leave of absences inquiries.
- Coordinate logistics for meetings and events, managing end-to-end coordination, catering, and onsite logistics.
- Manages onboarding communication for employees new to the division.
- Maintains monthly newsletters, contributing to the team's communication strategy.
- Monitors incoming calls and human resources department email inboxes.
- Directs team members to the appropriate resources to answer questions and resolve HR issues.
- Assists with data entry, HRIS records, personnel files, and other HR recordkeeping.
- Assists with reviewing and adjusting employee timesheets and PTO requests weekly.
- Flexibility with other duties and/or projects.
- High school diploma is required, college degree preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience in HR or administrative roles preferred.

This is a full-time, salaried position, reporting to the Director of Talent Acquisition. This position is designated as a primarily in-office position reporting into our Burlington, MA corporate headquarters. As such, candidates must already be established in this area and comfortable with an in-office environment to be considered.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Build innovative and effective sourcing strategies to quickly identify top talent and foster industry relationships
- Communicate frequently with hiring managers to better understand specific candidate requirements
- Utilize online recruiting resources such as LinkedIn and EBI's Career page to evaluate resumes and applications
- Conduct initial phone screens with prospective candidates and provide substantive submittal notes
- Act as liaison between hiring managers and candidates to best facilitate interview process
- Represent EBI at college and professional career fairs, both virtual and in person (local to Boston, MA)
- Assist with other Human Resources-related projects as needed
Qualifications and Capabilities
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, Communications, Marketing, Psychology or other related degree required
- 0-2 years' experience in a Recruiting, Inside Sales, Human Resources or Administrative setting required
- Passionate about recruiting top talent to support organizational goals and growth, with a "people first" mentality
- Ability to pivot between projects while maintaining professionalism and discretion
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience with LinkedIn and other social media platforms, as well as an applicant tracking systems (ATS), strongly preferred
- Interest in environmental consulting/ real estate would be beneficial but not required
- Good sense of humor and the ability to thrive both independently and collaboratively in a team-first environment

**How You'll Contribute as a Talent Acquisition Associate**
+ Perform follow-up with new employees to assist with questions and ensure a positive new hire experience
+ Communicate with incoming new employees to ensure all details have been arranged for successful onboarding
+ Enter and maintain data in the applicant tracking system
+ Prepare all hiring documentation to facilitate processing of offer letters and ensure successful completion of hiring process
+ Ensure required documents are received, filed, and forwarded to the Compliance department before Orientation, based on position
+ Coordinate onboarding tasks required to be completed on-site (i.e., schedule physicals, run fact-finding on home care registry, follow up on criminal history record checks, I-9 verification, badge photos, orientation files)
+ Complete audit sheets before sending files to Compliance, including ID, social security card, training paperwork, certificates, and orientation documents
+ Meet daily, weekly, and monthly sourcing, interview, and hiring goals
+ Assist fellow recruiting team members and support special projects as assigned
+ Promote Elara Caring's philosophy, mission, and policies to ensure quality of care
+ Perform other duties as assigned to support the changing needs of the business
**What Is Required?**
+ High School Diploma/GED (required)
+ Associate's Degree in Human Resources or related field (preferred)
+ 1+ year of experience in Talent Acquisition
+ Knowledge and experience in the operation of office equipment
