PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Lowboy/Tanker Truck Driver is responsible for operating a truck & trailer for transportation of construction material and equipment. In this position, the Driver will load and unload all products (may include but are not limited to front end loader, crusher equipment, fuel tanks, dozer, excavator, oversized loads) onto trailer and transport to various construction sites or transportation of asphalt mix to and from terminals and asphalt plants. This is a skilled position involving the safe and efficient operation of equipment/trucks. This position will report directly to the Logistics Manager.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a Valid Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement, TWIC card is a plus.
- Properly follow all company policies and procedures for safe working procedures and environment.
- Perform daily pre/post trip inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with DOT guidelines and company policies.
- Obey applicable laws and follow dispatch instructions.
- Maintain daily vehicle mileage logs.
- Monitor various gauges during operation of vehicle.
- Load and unload materials and equipment.
- Thorough operational knowledge and skills of trucks and related equipment to be operated.
- Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times.

Qualification Requirements

The Operator must be able to climb on and off heavy mobile equipment safely.

- Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Work environment periodically exposes the employees to high levels of noise, grease, and dust that is typically associated with a construction project.
- Employee regularly works near heavy equipment and moving machinery.
- Work may involve a variety of substances commonly found on construction sites or equipment shop such as form oil, grease, curing compounds, gasoline, diesel fuel and asphalt.

HAZMAT TANKER DRIVER - We are an Owner/Operator that is looking for a dependable driver. You MUST HAVE 1 YEAR CURRENT tanker experience. Must have TWIC card, HazMat Endorsement, Tanker Endorsement, clean MVR, pass drug test and background check.
