At least 22 years old.

Class B CDL minimum with at least 1 year CMV experience. Experience must be within the last 4

Class A CDL Truck Driver with Hazmat/Tanker Endorsements

Job Summary:

The Class A Truck Driver with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements is responsible for operating a commercial heavy truck on public highways and on construction jobsites in a safe and efficient manner. The driver will be responsible for hauling fuel and/or emulsion to and from job sites. Travel outside of Topeka will be required, some overnights may be required (driver will earn per diem if overnights are needed). Heavy trucks may include end dump trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, or lowboy trailer trucks. End dump and Dump trucks will haul aggregates, sand, concrete, hot-mix asphalt, and other construction materials to active work zones. Lowboy drivers will haul heavy equipment to and from jobsites. The commercial truck driver must also complete pre-trip checks, assist with fluid checks and maintenance, securing loads, cleaning, and other duties as directed by the Foreman or Operations Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Responsible for operating the truck in a safe and efficient manner according to company policy, as well as FMCA guidelines
* Responsible for following verbal and written directions
* Responsible for performing daily maintenance and pre-trip checks
* Responsible for cleaning the truck and material from trailer with the use of hand and power tools.
* Responsible for making sure that the truck is secured at the end of the shift

Other Duties:

* May perform other duties as assigned by Foreman or Operations Manager

Required Skills:

* Must be able to follow directions and operate truck safely
* Must be able to maneuver and back truck as required
* Must have a working knowledge of construction job-site activities
* Must be able to climb into, on, and around truck and trailer

Class A CDL Truck Driver with Hazmat/Tanker Endorsements

Job Summary:

The Class A Truck Driver with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements is responsible for operating a commercial heavy truck on public highways and on construction jobsites in a safe and efficient manner. The driver will be responsible for hauling fuel and/or emulsion to and from job sites. Travel outside of Topeka will be required, some overnights may be required (driver will earn per diem if overnights are needed). Heavy trucks may include end dump trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, or lowboy trailer trucks. End dump and Dump trucks will haul aggregates, sand, concrete, hot-mix asphalt, and other construction materials to active work zones. Lowboy drivers will haul heavy equipment to and from jobsites. The commercial truck driver must also complete pre-trip checks, assist with fluid checks and maintenance, securing loads, cleaning, and other duties as directed by the Foreman or Operations Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for operating the truck in a safe and efficient manner according to company policy, as well as FMCA guidelines
  • Responsible for following verbal and written directions
  • Responsible for performing daily maintenance and pre-trip checks
  • Responsible for cleaning the truck and material from trailer with the use of hand and power tools.
  • Responsible for making sure that the truck is secured at the end of the shift

Other Duties:
  • May perform other duties as assigned by Foreman or Operations Manager

Required Skills:
  • Must be able to follow directions and operate truck safely
  • Must be able to maneuver and back truck as required
  • Must have a working knowledge of construction job-site activities
  • Must be able to climb into, on, and around truck and trailer
  • Must be able to stoop, bend, and squat as required for various duties
  • Must be able to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
  • Must adhere to safety requirements and policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook
  • Must be able to work in a team environment and assist co-workers and supervisors with other duties as required

Job Requirements:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must be able to operate a Manual Transmission

Attention experienced CDL Drivers.

Miller Environmental Group is Hiring! Our CDL Drivers are responsible for the safe operation of utility trucks, box trucks, roll-off trucks, vacuum trucks, guzzlers and other vehicles of the trade consistent with the proper licenses. This is a labor intensive position.

Responsibilities of CDL Driver :
  • Cleaning and decontamination of regulated materials from spills, trenches, drains, oil/water separators, boilers, tanks and other industrial cleaning applications.
  • Will run, maintain and troubleshoot motors, pumps, chainsaws, generators, outboard motors, air compressors, asphalt cutters and other small power tools
  • Prompt attendance on job assignments which may encompass early and after hours start times
  • Ability to properly fill out daily job sheets and waste manifests
  • Ability to read and understand OSHA safety regulations and perform all tasks safely
  • Maintain up to date training and education for licenses, permits and regulatory information specific to job responsibilities

Qualifications/Requirements for CDL Driver:
  • CDL Class A or B license; Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement preferred; Must be able to operate a manual transmission (10-speed or higher)
  • Willing to work off-hours and be available on-call for scheduled rotations
  • Willing to travel 10-15% of the time between branch offices (or spill sites) for emergencies/equipment delivery
  • Individuals must be pro-active self-starters who can work safely in crews of 2-10 and follow chain of command structure, with guidance and orders dictated by supervisors and foreman
  • Must pass DOT hazmat physical, drug and alcohol screening, and detailed background check
