Tax Lawyer
Location: Silicon Valley (or San Francisco-based)
Practice Focus: Corporate and Transactional Tax Law
Salary: 225,000 to $435,000 (commensurate of experience)
Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled transactional tax attorney to become an integral part of a premiere top 10 Amlaw firm's tax practice.
Three (3) to six (6) years of experience with significant exposure in an external law firm setting.
The position will play a crucial role in advising public corporations, emerging private enterprises, investment funds, and various sophisticated investment entities with their expertise in navigating the complex tax implications inherent in fund structuring, limited partnership investments, corporate mergers and acquisitions, and a spectrum of analogous transactional tax issues.
We are looking for an individual who demonstrates a keen adeptness to financial transactions, has demonstratively drafter and filed for completion the legal documentation for this type of case load. This ability requires overtly extreme attention to detail, an urgent sense of clarity and the ability to communicate affectively to key parties regarding the best way to legally optimize their compensation.
Ability to dissect and resolve complex tax challenges, preferably with intricate knowledge of the Internal Revenue Service's code and/or state laws. Furthermore, the ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of how individual contractual arrangements interrelate within broader strategic objectives, strong interpersonal and organizational acumen, and the capacity to operate with autonomy as they will be expected to work independently, pointing to a clear path towards leadership or partner in the future.

We are looking for a highly skilled Tax Lawyer to join our in-house legal and finance team in a full time remote capacity. In this role, you will provide expert guidance on corporate tax matters, cross-border structuring, regulatory compliance, and transfer pricing for a global business. You will support strategic decision-making across business units and help ensure the group’s operations remain aligned with international tax frameworks and best practices.
Key Responsibilities Tax Advisory & StructuringProvide legal advice on corporate tax planning, including international structuring, intercompany transactions, and financing arrangements.
Support the design and implementation of tax-efficient structures for holding, financing, and intellectual property operations across jurisdictions.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external advisors on mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations.
Ensure compliance with international tax regulations including BEPS, FATCA, CRS, DAC6, and related disclosure obligations.
Identify tax risks, advise on mitigation strategies, and maintain internal compliance frameworks.
Represent the company in discussions with tax authorities regarding audits, rulings, or regulatory changes.
Maintain transfer pricing policies in line with OECD Guidelines.
Oversee the preparation and review of master files, local files, and benchmarking reports.
Assist in the defense of transfer pricing positions during reviews or audits.
Work closely with legal, finance, treasury, and business operations to ensure tax matters are integrated into corporate strategy.
Translate complex tax rules into practical guidance for business leaders and operational teams.
Master’s degree in Tax Law , International Taxation , or a related field.
2–5 years of relevant experience, ideally in a law firm , tax advisory , or in-house corporate tax role .
Solid knowledge of Dutch corporate tax law , including tax treaties and substance requirements.
Familiarity with EU tax directives , advance ruling procedures , and cross-border compliance frameworks.
Strong research, drafting, and organizational skills.
Comfortable working independently in a remote-first environment and managing multiple tasks.
