Core Responsibilities Include Provide tax advice and planning strategies to internal employees and existing clients. Prepare or review federal and state tax returns for individuals, trusts, and small businesses. Develop tax strategies that align with clients’ financial goals and investment strategies. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports as needed. Offer year-round support for tax questions, notices, and audits. Collaborate with Financial Advisors to identify tax-saving opportunities as part of comprehensive financial plans. Assist with tax-related onboarding of new clients or benefit offerings. Educate internal teams on tax-related matters relevant to insurance and retirement planning. Stay informed about current tax regulations and changes that may affect employees or clients. Ensure compliance with ethical standards and applicable laws. Requirements Education – Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. CPA designation required. Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax advisory, public accounting, or financial services. Strong communication and collaboration skills, both written and oral. Experience working with financial advisors, insurance professionals, or in a brokerage environment is a plus. Solid understanding of individual and small business taxation. Excellent listening skills to thoroughly understand client needs. Leadership qualities, with the ability to effectively educate and sell to clients. Problem-solving and analytical skills, with high attention to detail. Professional demeanor and conduct required. Must maintain a positive attitude and sense of humor! Compensation The base salary range for this position is $100,000 to $40,000 . The offer will depend on the geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review individual, S Corporation, C Corporation, Partnership, LLC, non-profit, gift, trust, Canadian, FBAR, general excise/use, and personal property tax returns for high-net-worth clients.
- Work closely with various departments on tax planning, including quarterly estimates and year-end projections.
- Research athletes schedules for duty day calculations and amend tax returns for new clients to optimize tax benefits.
- Act as Power of Attorney during IRS audits, prepare supporting documentation, and liaise with government agencies to secure timely tax refunds.
- Serve as bookkeeper/controller for client entities, prepare journal entries, and ensure the accuracy of general ledgers and financial statements.
- Organize and lead independent audits for non-profit foundations, ensuring compliance with GAAP and transitioning financials from cash-basis to accrual-basis.
- Provide expert advice, stay abreast of industry trends, and communicate solutions proactively to clients and team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or a related field.
- CPA certification or CPA candidate status required. Preference given to candidates who have already received their CPA certification.
- Minimum of two years experience in tax, accounting, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of current tax laws, especially related to high-net-worth individuals and professional athletes.
- Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Our Tax Associates work closely with our Client Account Managers to assist in servicing our clients needs. You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing individual, fiduciary, entity, and gift tax returns and generating tax planning strategies for our clients.
Other responsibilities include tax research, legislative and regulatory monitoring, presentation of complex strategies to clients and their account managers, and assuring the quality of our tax deliverables.
Responsibilities include:
- Facilitate and manage the preparation of and review client individual income, trust, gift, and entity tax returns timely and accurately
- Collaborate with other members of the tax and planning teams on general planning strategies for our clients
- Present or support presentation of complex tax strategies and issues to clients
- Prepare and review quarterly/yearly tax projections
- Collaborate and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes

Summary of the position
The Tax Advisor works closely with the advisory team to deliver clients integrated wealth management services, providing proactive tax-related planning and serving as a tax resource for client relationships. As a member of the Tax Team, the Tax Advisor prepares, reviews, and completes individual and trust tax returns as well as tax projections.

Responsibilities- Serves as a tax resource for the firm’s client base. Participates, sometimes leading, client meetings with advisors
- Serves as an internal firm expert on tax planning, including staying current on tax law/code changes and their applicability to client situations
- Provides direct client service both individually and collaboratively and may rely on technical specialists from multiple functional areas to develop customized recommendations
- As an individual contributor, has responsibility for the preparation, review, and completion of individual and trust tax returns and tax projections
- Responsible for ensuring that all tax-related research and data gathering is complete, and presentation materials are prepared in a timely fashion for clients and prospects
- Works within a defined technology system where client contact is made on a proactive basis. Assists in preparing agendas, organizing plans, presenting to tax clients and prospects, anticipating and scheduling tax-related meetings, and providing appropriate follow-up
- May assist with small business tax work, including S Corporation and partnership tax returns
- A bachelor’s degree, with a major in accounting or finance
- Certified Public Accounting (CPA) designation

As a Senior Advisor at our firm, you will primarily be involved in tax planning and advisory services for real estate investors and small business owners. Generally Senior Advisors will spend 50% of their time directly with clients via Zoom. Senior Advisors will also provide technical input on tax and accounting issues, research tax solutions, provide training to less experienced staff, and nurture client relationships.
The most important characteristic of our Advisory team is that we deliver on promises and meet deadlines. Our clients depend on us to guide them through complex issues and provide them with practical steps to implement our recommended strategies or positions (or minimize their tax liability). This can include delivering complex information in a manner which the client can absorb and apply practically. Our job is to build strong foundations of trust by delivering when we say we will, and doing so in a clear and concise manner.

Annual Salary + Bonus: $115,000 - $55,00
Areas of Responsibility
- Serve as the primary client contact, ensuring their best interests are represented, with up to 50% of time spent meeting with clients via Zoom
- Create and deliver tailored tax plans to clients, and update those plans periodically
- Maintain strong client relationships by managing their expectations, being responsive to their communications/emails, and reaching out proactively
- Research complex tax issues, citing the Internal Revenue Code and supporting sources, and provide recommendations for resolution
- Coordinate client's tax preparation needs with the tax preparation team, and assist with client communication during tax season to ensure proposed strategies are implemented
- Remain updated on changes in tax laws and procedures
- Achieve an average of 9/10 on your Net Promoter Score surveys
- Delivering on your promises with clients and maintaining strong client relationships
- Participation in expansion of firm technical knowledge through research and collaboration with internal teams
- Clean background with no noise or distractions
- Business casual attire for client interactions
- Always use video (80% of communication is non-verbal)

- Experience working directly with clients, managing client relationships, and ensuring engagement objectives are met accurately and on-time.
- Experience performing tax projections and estimates using professional tax planning software (e.g. BNA Tax Planner, CCH Prosystem fx Planning, etc).
- Effective written and oral communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
