- Work with educators and other staff to develop structures and procedures that will enable students with challenging behaviors to succeed in school and community.
- Implement, modify, and report on those procedures for identified students.
- Collect data as needed to monitor efficacy of individual behavioral programs.

- Relevant work experience and effectiveness with a population that exhibits challenging behaviors.

**EDUCATION:** High School Diploma required. Associates Degree or completion of two years of post-secondary education from an accredited college or university preferred.
**EXPERIENCE** : Previous experience working in a special education or behavioral healthcare setting with students with severe/complex behavioral/emotional issues preferred.

**Position Summary**
The purpose of a **TH Instructional Assistant** is to assist with the stocking and coordination of the Stony Brook Medicine Respiratory Care inventory and stocking of disposables and equipment materials for ICUs. The TH Instructional Assistant is tasked with cleaning of RT equipment and distribution of the clean set ups to various units.
The Respiratory Care Department is searching for a qualified TH Instructional Support Assistant who is an experienced and competent individual with basic knowledge of Respiratory Care and Equipment and procedures, with duties to include maintaining appropriate lab stock, cleaning of equipment and running supplies requested by staff RTs in the ICU's. The position requires excellent communication skills, with strong attention to detail. The Instructional Support Assistant is tasked with ensuring our department have adequate access to the materials they need.
**Duties of a TH Instructional Assistant** **in the** **Respiratory Care** **may include the following but are not limited to:**
+ Maintain adequate stock in labs.
+ Maintain adequate stock in RCD equipment lab.
+ Clean Ventilators.
+ Set up clean equipment so it is ready for use.
+ Run essential supplies to RT's when needed.
