Position Overview:
We are seeking Paraprofessional Substitutes to support PreK and Grade 1 classrooms in the Bristol county area. These roles begin as elementary school-based positions covering maternity leave vacancies, but will transition to district-wide substitute roles. Candidates must be flexible and comfortable working with students across all grade levels.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Provide direct support to students in 1:1, small group, and whole-class settings
+ Assist in implementing academic and behavioral support plans
+ Collect and record student data, including behavior tracking via point sheets
+ Lead classroom activities when needed and collaborate with educators
+ Support students with social-emotional and behavioral challenges
+ Adapt to changing assignments across grade levels and schools within the district
Preferred Experience & Qualifications:
+ Experience working with neurodivergent students and those with behavioral challenges
+ Familiarity with de-escalation strategies and behavior management
