The successful candidate will teach both "Foundations of Modern Biology I" (which includes a lab and covers topics in cellular and molecular biology, genetics, biodiversity, and evolution) and "Statistical Computing I" (an applied introduction to data analysis in R that does not require any formal computer science background to teach). The latter course is housed in the Quantitative Theory and Methods (QTM) department. The teaching load for this position will be the equivalent of one lecture and two lab sections (Biology) in the fall and up to three lecture sections (QTM) in the spring. Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Education, Curriculum Design, Instructional Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in curriculum development and instructional design, preferably in an online or blended learning environment.
- Demonstrated experience in creating engaging learning content for diverse audiences.
- Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate).
- Strong understanding of K-12 or higher education standards and frameworks.
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage projects, and collaborate effectively in a remote team setting.
- Experience with Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles is highly desirable.
