Fellowship programs identify aspiring or early career educators (typically recent college graduates) with an interest in day or boarding school teaching experience. Fellowship programs provide individuals with the training, skills, and experience they need to succeed as educators, as well as extensive mentoring and support. Fellowships are available for a variety of teaching subjects. Teaching Fellows will teach in an academic department and fully participate in the residential (if applicable) and co-curricular life of a school.

Responsibilities of the Teaching Fellow:
- Support individual students with skill instruction while observing classes.
- Work with a mentor, and participate in a cohort with other fellows to learn new skills and techniques to build your teaching tool kit.
- Teach several sections of courses for middle and/or upper school students.
- Participate in professional development activities to expand knowledge and skillset as a teacher.
- Coach or provide support for extra-curriculars activities.
- Chaperone a weekend activity (if applicable).
- May live on campus and supervise/participate in residential life duties (if applicable).
Qualifications of the Teaching Fellow:
- Bachelor's degree required. 2026 grads welcome!
- Recent graduate with teaching, tutoring, or extra-curricular experience.
- Interest to contribute to school community outside of the classroom as an athletic coach, student advisor, student club leader, or otherwise preferred.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- U.S. Work Authorization required.
Potential Benefits: Compensation and benefit packages are competitive but will differ by school and will typically depend on geographic location, your experience, and your level of degree.

ABOUT THE Critical Care/Innovation Unit DEPARTMENT AT BOSTON MEDICAL CENTER:
BMCs Teaching Innovation Unit explores nursing model redesign aimed at directing Registered Nurses (RNs) to work to the top of their license. RN's who are selected for this unit should be prepared to work on innovation teams that pilot, measure and evaluate the effectiveness of new technologies and workflows. The Teaching Innovation Unit's clinical setting is designed to provide an optimal teaching/learning environment through the collaborative efforts of RN leaders, healthcare team members and clinical education. POSITION SUMMARY:
As an RN in the Critical Care unit, you will play an integral role in delivering exceptional care. Using our patient-centered care model you will be uplifted by a supportive nursing organization, and will be able to deliver the excellent care to your patients that they deserve.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Deliver nursing care in the Critical Care unit, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients
* Communicate with various health care team members, patients, and their families
* Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
* Update and manage patient records
* Enter and interpret computerized data/information
* Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC's nursing organization
* Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
* Must have active or pending Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license or the ability to obtain one.
* 1+ years of RN experience preferred
* Certification in basic life support (BLS)
* Advanced Cardiac Life support (ACLS) certification required in certain units
* Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred), Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years
* Relevant clinical experience and/or specialty, certification required for certain practice areas
* Effective verbal and written communication skills
* Physical ability to meet job responsibilities
* Basic computer proficiency
* Fluency in another language a plus
