Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of software modules for ADAS features such as adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, automatic emergency braking, and sensor fusion.
- Define and architect robust and scalable software solutions for embedded automotive ECUs.
- Write high-quality, well-documented, and efficient C/C++ code.
- Oversee the integration of software components and ensure seamless operation with hardware.
- Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and system tests to ensure software reliability and performance.
- Collaborate closely with system engineers to translate requirements into detailed software specifications.
- Mentor and guide junior software engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes.
- Ensure compliance with automotive safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262) and industry best practices.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in autonomous driving and automotive software.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in automotive software development, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior role.
- Strong proficiency in C/C++ and experience with embedded systems development.
- Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, Automotive Ethernet).
- Demonstrated experience with ADAS algorithms, sensor integration (camera, radar, lidar), and perception systems.
- Familiarity with AUTOSAR architecture and development tools.
- Experience with software development tools for version control, build systems, and debugging.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork abilities.
- This role requires working onsite in Chicago, Illinois , with a hybrid flexibility.
