As our Technical Lead - Injector Valves, you will make critical contributions by holding responsibility for:
Technical Leadership: Oversee all technical aspects of the product family, serving as the subject matter expert on technical aspects, heritage qualifications, product family history, and assembly/testing.
Customer Engagement: Act as the customer's primary technical point of contact, actively supporting customer-facing technical issues and providing expert guidance in technical matters to facilitate positive customer interactions.
Team Mentorship: Mentor a small team of direct reports, focusing on fostering growth in technical engineering understanding, enhancing project skills, and improving customer communication. Develop and implement strategies for the engineering team's development.
Best Practices Establishment: Set and standardize best practices across the product family, aligning work instructions and drawings to ensure consistency and efficiency among like parts.
Operations Training Contribution: Be a knowledgeable resource in valve assembly and testing processes, contributing to operations training.
Resource Planning: Engage in strategic planning for upcoming orders, coordinating engineering resources to meet present and future demands.
Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives aimed at sustaining the product line's quality and efficiency, including advancements in design manufacturability.

The ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
Associate Degree in Engineering or technical field (Electrical, Systems or Mechanical)
10 years of related experience in engineering Injector Valves or similar hardware.
Experience interfacing with customers and demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience working across business units and influencing departmental groups for support in executing is a plus.
Proficiency with CAD/Design software. Experience with Teamcenter/NX and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools is highly preferred.

Our Space and Defense Group is projecting significant growth driven by high levels of U.S. Department of Defense investments and the continued human exploration of space. The East Aurora, NY Space Fluid Controls team supplies a variety of complex chemical, electrical, and cold gas propulsion products in addition to critical life support components.
This team is now looking for a Technical Lead with expertise in Torque Motors and Service Valves to join their dynamic team. You will report directly to the Engineering Manager and enjoy an on-site, collaborative working environment.
As our Technical Lead - Torque Motors & Service Valves, you will make critical contributions by holding responsibility for:
Technical Leadership: Oversee all technical aspects of the product family, serving as the subject matter expert on technical aspects, heritage qualifications, product family history, and assembly/testing.
Customer Engagement: Act as the customer's primary technical point of contact, actively supporting customer-facing technical issues and providing expert guidance in technical matters to facilitate positive customer interactions.
Team Mentorship: Mentor a small team of direct reports, focusing on fostering growth in technical engineering understanding, enhancing project skills, and improving customer communication. Develop and implement strategies for the engineering team's development.
Best Practices Establishment: Set and standardize best practices across the product family, aligning work instructions and drawings to ensure consistency and efficiency among like parts.
Operations Training Contribution: Be a knowledgeable resource in valve assembly and testing processes, contributing to operations training.
Resource Planning: Engage in strategic planning for upcoming orders, coordinating engineering resources to meet present and future demands.
Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives aimed at sustaining the product line's quality and efficiency, including advancements in design manufacturability.
To be considered for this Technical Lead - Torque Motors & Service Valves role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:
The ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
Associate Degree in Engineering or technical field (Electrical, Systems or Mechanical)
10 years of related experience in engineering Torque Motors, Service Valves or similar hardware.
Experience interfacing with customers and demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience working across business units and influencing departmental groups for support in executing is a plus.
Proficiency with CAD/Design software. Experience with Teamcenter/NX and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools is highly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to lead and facilitate continuous improvement activities and events.
