Job Description
As a Meat Department Lead you will drive sales in your area and supervise your team of hourly associates to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will model expertise in Meat and work collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the total club meets the member's expectations.
**What you'll do.**
Cleans the Meat Department during the course of normal production work (for example, work surfaces, meat grinders, windows, mirrors, display cases and coolers) while following Company procedures, guidelines, and methods, and utilizing approved chemicals, supplies, tools, and equipment.
Provides Meat products to Members by processing meat products (for example, boneless, bone-in) based on Company specifications, operating, repairing, and sanitizing equipment, assisting Members with purchasing decisions, and ensuring merchandise is properly packaged, labeled, and stored.
Provides Member service by acknowledging the Member, identifying their needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues and concerns, and promoting the Company's products and services.
Maintains merchandise presentation by stocking merchandise, setting up, cleaning, and organizing product displays, removing damaged goods, signing and pricing merchandise appropriately, and securing fragile and high-shrink merchandise.
Maintains the Sales Floor in the Meat area in accordance with Company policies and procedures by properly handling claims and returns, zoning the area, arranging and organizing merchandise, and identifying shrink and damages.
Maintains safety of Facility by following all safety standards, procedures, and guidelines including conducting safety sweeps, following proper forklift spotting procedures, following proper procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous materials, following Company steel standard guidelines, and correcting/reporting unsafe situations to Management.
Assists management with the supervision of Associates in the Meat area by assigning duties, communicating goals and feedback, teaching and ensuring compliance with Company policies and procedures, supporting the Open Door Policy, and participating in recruiting, hiring, scheduling, promoting, coaching, and evaluating Associates.
Follows Company policies and procedures for preparing, handling, packaging, labeling, and storing food, operating and sanitizing food-related equipment, stocking and displaying food products, and maintaining and cleaning the Fresh Department.
Performs audits and completes audit reports by counting merchandise, researching variances or discrepancies, identifying and accounting for shrink or overages, and adjusting inventory counts.
Receives and stocks merchandise in the Meat area, and organizes and maintains the Meat area by following Company procedures, utilizing equipment appropriately, merchandising, and completing paperwork, logs, and other required documentation.

+ Possess advanced and complete knowledge of compressor packages, including all components and systems
+ Beginning knowledge and understanding of Area Financials
+ Working knowledge of business as a whole-all processes and workflows
+ Mentorship training and beginning leadership skills/training

**Job Summary**
**Summary:** Coordinates activities of other food-service employees. Creates an enjoyable dining experience for customers, staff and visitors.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Provides quality customer service by providing one-on-one attention to detail.
+ Oversees and participates in the preparation and service of food and beverage items in accordance with company standards for presentation, sanitation, safety and portion control.
+ Helps plan menus.
+ Ensures timely, efficient meal service; supervises serving of meals.
+ Responds to customer complaints in person at the time of the complaint and via email for electronic complaints.
+ Trains employees; assigns and coordinates work of employees to promote efficiency and excellence in food and service.
+ Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules and expedites work flow.
+ Uses proper systems for completion of required daily/weekly/monthly reports such as inventory-cash reports-production records, payroll and time- keeping.
+ Responsible for proper cash handling as established by the Food Accounting Manual (deposits - petty cash - change funds).
+ Orders food and other necessary supplies from approved sources or purveyors.
+ Directs and participates in the overall sanitation and safety of the facility and employees in accordance with company standards and government regulations.
+ Develops sanitation schedule and ensures food-service employees adhere to the schedule for cleaning of kitchen and dining area and washing of kitchen utensils and equipment.
+ Issues written and oral instructions.
+ Help select and orient employees; oversees staff training in areas of responsibility.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
