**What We're Looking For**
Interfacing within the Program Management Team made up of a planning, engineering, procurement, legal, project controls, and construction teams working on various Alternative Delivery Projects (DB, DBF, DBFM, DBFOM, CMGC). Key focus will include managing the flow of communication and accountability regarding document control of RFQs, SOQs, RFPs, proposal submittals, RFIs, disputes, etc. while coordinating with technical experts and facilitating the process of developing and recommending strategies and solutions for project challenges. As a key member of a team in the development and/or administration of agreements between an infrastructure owner and design and construction providers (Projects often utilize alternative delivery methods such as design-build or some other form of public private partnerships) this person will participate in a wide variety of meetings - client meetings, proposer meetings, design charrettes, and contractor meetings. In those meetings this role will typically act as a representative for the owner as part of the program or project management team.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Cook to join our team at the 1824 Kitchen and Bar at the new Marriott hotels at the Georgia National Fairgrounds in Perry, GA. 1824 specializes in fresh, high-quality American fare. This is not a heat-and-serve kitchen—our menu is built around real cooking with fresh ingredients, scratch-made recipes, and creative presentations.


Compensation:

$16 - $18 hourly

Responsibilities:
  • Take the lead in preparing and cooking classic and modern American dishes to high standards.
  • Assist in menu execution with an emphasis on freshness and flavor.
  • Oversee kitchen operations during your shift, ensuring smooth workflow and timely service.
  • Train, mentor, and support line cooks and kitchen staff.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen that exceeds food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Work closely with the Restaurant Manager to ensure consistency, quality, and guest satisfaction.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a lead cook, line cook, or similar role in a restaurant that values fresh, made-from-scratch cooking.

Job Summary:

The Shift Leader supports the store management team’s daily operations of a Krystal restaurant in support of the Brand Vision, Mission and Promise while role modeling Krystal’s Core Values. The Shift Leader works with the management team in ensuring the compliance with company standards in all areas of operations to include; product preparation and delivery, customer service, facilities maintenance and financial accountability. This role accomplishes these objectives by assisting the management team in actively selecting, training and coaching the A+ talent to achieve key results in People, Customer, Sales and Profit.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

People:

  • Demonstrate the Krystal Core Values while assisting the management team in building high performing employees when training, retaining and recognizing A+ talent utilizing Krystal’s tools and processes.
  • Partners with the management team to execute the Performance Management process consistently to ensure employees are set up for success and held accountable.

Customer:

  • Drives customer-focused culture by serving as a role model in resolving customer issues and partnering with the management team to train employees to meet or exceed customer service standards.
  • Coaches, drive excellence, recognize and hold their shift accountable around core operational procedures through the use of the OSM and Company systems.
  • Ensures that food safety standards are met through direct observation while running their shifts.

Sales:

  • Partners with the management team to ensure that restaurant level plan and marketing initiatives are in place and being implemented.

Profit:

  • Executes cash/security, inventory, labor and food control procedures during their shift and takes appropriate actions to identify and close gaps.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Servsafe certification required
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred with one (1) or more years restaurant experience.
  • Systems & Software – proficient level knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, overnights, & weekends.
  • May be required to travel to other locations, e.g. other stores, bank, meetings as business dictates
