Day in the Life

We have an immediate need for a Project Manager to join our team. The primary responsibility is to assist Project Managers in their duties. The Project Manager will also have the opportunity to:

  • Plan, organize, and coordinate construction projects efficiently
  • Perform project take-offs
  • Prepare project submittals
  • Estimate public and private work projects accurately
  • Solicit subcontractor and supplier information and pricing
  • Ensure proper scheduling and resource coordination
  • Coordinate subcontractor field activities and job scheduling
  • Review project specifications for compliance
  • Interface with customers to meet their needs and quality expectations
  • Evaluate proposals and contracts for client needs and standards
  • Maintain good relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Manage job profitability, start-up, budget tracking, and schedule adherence
  • Complete and submit paperwork like submittals, billings, payments, and reports timely
  • Assist in estimating new projects
  • Maintain safety standards as per Washington State and company policies

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Enrollment in Construction Management or Civil Engineering programs
  • Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn
  • Understanding of heavy construction industry including planning, design, constructability review, value engineering, and scheduling
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Key Responsibilities Include:

**Skills/Qualifications**
Required
+ Must have, or will obtain, a Bachelor's degree within six months
+ Qualified candidates must meet all requirements outlined by the Department of Transportation (DOT) for driving a regulated vehicle weighing more than 10,000 lbs. In order to comply with DOT requirements, qualified candidates must, prior to their first day of employment:
+ Have an active driver's license
+ Be at least 21 years of age
+ Obtain a DOT medical certification
+ Provide documentation regarding their previous employment
Preferred
+ Co-op or internship experience in a Customer Service, Sales, Production or Administrative role
+ A business or otherwise related academic major
+ A leadership/management role on campus or related extracurricular activities
+ Willingness to relocate regionally during, or at the end of, the program

**Compensation**
A reasonable estimate of base salary for this role is $73,200.00/Year. The range takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, and other business and organization needs. Please note, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decision are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each decision.

We are now hiring for immediate openings in our Management Training program. As a MT, you'll start learning our business from day one while based out of one of our neighborhood branches.
