Overview Are you a storyteller at heart who wants to help shape the conversation about the future of work? Atlassian is looking for an experienced communications professional to lead the external PR strategy for our Teamwork Collection—a powerful combination of apps, including Jira, Confluence, Loom, and Rovo teamwork agents, that helps every team collaborate better. This is a highly visible role at the intersection of product innovation and cultural transformation. You’ll develop and drive strategic narratives about how Atlassian is reimagining teamwork and how AI is fundamentally changing how we collaborate, make decisions, and build products. We’re not here for AI theater. We’re here to show what useful, human-AI collaboration looks like in practice. You’ll own the comms strategy across product and thought leadership moments and work with internal teams and agency partners to raise awareness of Atlassian’s Teamwork Collection and how it helps every kind of team work better together. You’ll be part of the product communications team within the marketing organization and report to the Senior Communications & Strategy Manager, who is based in the U.S. Working at Atlassian Atlassians can choose where they work – whether in an office, from home, or a combination of the two. That way, Atlassians have more control over supporting their family, personal goals, and other priorities. We can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity. Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company. Responsibilities Own and lead the PR strategy for Atlassian’s Teamwork Collection, bringing together product and thought leadership storytelling across Jira, Confluence, Loom, and Rovo teamwork agents. Be the driving force behind how we talk about AI in the context of teamwork, moving beyond hype to highlight real-world use cases that matter to knowledge workers. Collaborate with product marketing, brand, and corporate communications to build integrated, global storytelling moments that align with Atlassian’s broader strategy and values. Pitch and place compelling stories with top-tier tech, business, and AI media outlets, leveraging your instincts for what will resonate with journalists. Support product launches, major customer moments, and key brand activations with messaging, media strategy, and rapid response coordination. Analyze coverage, track results, and use data to continually refine messaging and media outreach. Qualifications On your first day, we'd love you to have: 6+ years of experience in communications, preferably in B2B tech or enterprise software, with a strong portfolio of product PR and thought leadership work. Familiarity with developer, IT, or productivity tools, and curiosity about how AI is reshaping the way teams work. Strong relationships with business and tech media, especially reporters focused on the future of work, AI, or collaboration. Proven success running high-impact campaigns—from narrative development through to coverage and measurement. Exceptional writing and editing chops, with a nose for a story and the ability to craft messaging that’s clear, compelling, and human. Comfort working across time zones and cross-functional teams in a fast-moving, async-first environment. A low-ego, high-hustle attitude and a willingness to roll up your sleeves. More About Our Team Everything we do on the communications team is driven by business impact. We work collaboratively and cross-functionally, but every project has one owner who is empowered as the key decision maker. We have a distributed team united by our shared goals. We determine success metrics up front and restlessly drive towards them. We strive for transparency and awareness in everything we do, but we are comfortable not knowing the details of everything. We embrace our “open company, no bullshit” value and have the grit to tell it like it is. We're good listeners. We move really fast. We take risks and fail (which is OK!). We take away vital lessons to ensure we don't repeat the same mistakes again. We play as a team. Job Description
Product Management | San Francisco, United States | Mountain View, United States or Remote |
We're looking for a seasoned, strategic, and results-driven product management leader to join Atlassian's Teamwork Collection (TWC) product management team! Spanning Atlassian’s Jira, Confluence and Loom apps and AI agents, TWC is Atlassian’s core product offering. Reporting to the Head of Product - Teamwork Solutions, you will be responsible for driving experience innovation and impact across TWC apps and agents, maximizing customer value, and building things never built before.
This is a hands-on position; we are looking for someone who is autonomous, strong at execution, can break down a grand vision into meaningful first steps, and lead or influence teams to get it over the line. As one of the most senior independent contributors in the team, you'll frequently need to take Atlassian's senior leadership team with you on the journey, explain and defend the direction and roadmap.
Working at Atlassian
Atlassians can choose where they work – whether in an office, from home, or a combination of the two. That way, Atlassians have more control over supporting their family, personal goals, and other priorities. We can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity. Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.
In this role, you will:
Work on horizontal problem statements that cut across all TWC apps and agents
Partner with Atlassian-wide stakeholders in setting cross-team priorities across our organization that enable us to deliver solution roadmaps alongside product & platform roadmaps
Build solutions and solve complex customer problems that create real business and customer value and require you to influence and align across organizational boundaries
Demonstrate your understanding of our business goals and metrics, and clearly link product solutions and roadmaps to business outcomes.
Set the bar for product craft across the TWC organization, including being a rolling resource and sounding board for individual product teams as they craft and iterate on their strategies and drive the development of best-in-class product management.
Circa 10+ years of tech industry experience including significant tenure in leading product strategy and divisional or market direction for Enterprise/B2B software products.
Domain expertise in collaborative work management software, AI or adjacent markets is highly advantageous but not essential - B2B / Enterprise product domains are still a very useful pathway for this role
Thought leader in product craft. Bring creative solutions to challenging problems
Have exceptional relationship-building and communication skills at all levels, from C-levels down, across geographies, both inside and outside of Atlassian
Openness to a transparent communication culture that values contributions and feedback from other individuals and teams
Good instincts matched with deep analytical thinking. Comfortable defining and tracking key business and usage success metrics
Understanding of technical architecture
