- Technical/process resource in Polymerics Skiving.
- Specific focus on Skiving production, inspection, quality, and defects.
- Troubleshoot product defects to understand causes.
- Develop and implement plans to reduce future quality defects.
- Coach operators to resolve technical quality issues.
- Perform or assist in informal and formal process and quality related root cause or failure analysis.
- Partner with First Line Leaders to develop operator knowledge, skills, and operation.
- Liaison with internal customers on inspection criteria and defects for alignment.
- Identify areas for improvement and network with technical resources to understand opportunity including yield, quality, up-time, safety, compliance, cost, etc.
- Assist and lead improvement opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with Polymerics team to rapidly troubleshoot and improve process and quality issues.
- Support maintenance issues and scheduling.
- Network with experts across organization to manage equipment, process, and quality requirements and expectations (Manufacturing Technology, Product Quality, Reliability, etc.).
- Work with operators to ensure Standard Operating Procedures are accurate and effective.
- Consults with training coordinators and coach operators as needed regarding gaps in skills and knowledge.
- Lead and participate in EHS requirements such as audits.
- Participate in product stewardship audits, customer visits, provide support to address and resolve customer needs.
- Lead and participate MOCs as required.
- First point of escalation for troubleshooting and technical questions off hours.
- Works within standard operating procedures and with moderate to minimal degree of supervision.
Your qualifications profile:
- High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of CMPT manufacturing experience or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

Reporting Structure:
The Technical Advisor reports directly to the EO Sterilization Manager.
Major Responsibilities:
The major areas of responsibility include the following:
- Provide technical support to customers, facilities, operations, sales and laboratory.

What you will do:
Provide technical expertise and niche assistance to a specific mechanical issues in the Region.
Provide technical expertise to Area employees through training, written and verbal communication to operate, install, test, and assess company facilities in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner.
Assist in problem solving sophisticated technical issues for multiple products and platforms.
Provide leadership and direction to Mechanics as required to resolve maintenance issues and as an advisor on Capital Projects.
Support efforts for cost estimating, budgeting, and obtaining clear scope definitions to obtain accurate cost estimates and project definitions.
Responsible for scheduling, cost control and forecasting for the assigned projects and reporting these to the Region Compression Supervisor.
Technical Staff representative for design reviews with the Projects Organization and external customers for review and approval of design criteria and construction drawing packages.
Formulate material bid specifications and requisitions; evaluate bids and make material selections.
Work with the Procurement group to order materials for on-time delivery to the job site.
Who you are:
You have the following education and/or experience:
Related university degree and four-plus years' experience OR eight-plus years of previous field operations experience, OR equivalent mix of formal education and experience.
Shown verbal and written communications skills.
Demonstrated ability to self-manage, set priorities, and establish goals - as well as work effectively with others in a team environment.
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of computer applications such as Word, Excel, SharePoint, SAP, and Mechanical specific programs.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Demonstrated broad business and technical knowledge in resolving problems, project management, finding opportunities, and has a keen awareness of interrelationships with other collaborators.
Proven track record to initiate and lead change, be innovative, think strategically, and work well with teams.
Desired Qualifications
Natural Gas Transmission experience.
Ability to advise and coordinate the work of others.
Ability to train others plus evaluate and recommend training for others in the mechanical field.
Possess sophisticated troubleshooting skills and knowledgeable on new technology.

Must be adaptable to changing project types, conditions, and workloads.

Ability to work well under critical situations.
8+ yrs. experience in the Mechanical field.
Possess knowledge and experience with mechanical related equipment.
Working Conditions
Will consider other locations within the North Central Region for location assignment.
Perform physically demanding activities in all types of weather conditions.
Will work overtime, be on call, and travel overnight.
