**Position overview**
As the Senior Director, Americas Technical Advisory at Autodesk, you will report to the VP of Technical Advisory and will head up Technical Consulting Delivery for our enterprise and strategic customers within the Americas region. You will lead a large team chartered to drive transformational and implementation services that foster strong customer relationships and ensure successful Autodesk solution adoption.
**Responsibilities**
+ Lead a team of 100+ employees responsible for Consulting Delivery, and contribute to overall customer success and adoption
+ Develop and execute against regional strategic plans that ensure the local Consulting Delivery team meets organizational objectives
+ Identify and define the strategic regional Consulting Delivery requirements (service lines and roles), and build capacity plans to meet these local needs

Location: Houston, TX - hybrid role 2 days/week in Greenspoint office



Bureau Veritas North America is seeking a Risk and Reliability Engineer to market, sell

and execute early-stage project technical advisory services for energy projects in North

America primarily within the oil and gas industry with special attention within hydrogen and

new energies. This role will be a “seller-doer” position.



The Risk and Reliability Engineer role will include feasibility studies, design review,

and risk, reliability and safety analysis for facilities and production plants such as

downstream O&G, LNG facilities, and hydrogen facilities among other energy related

fields. The incumbent will collaborate closely with our Vice-President of Business

Development for Energy and Operations Directors.



The Risk and Reliability Engineer is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and mitigating

risks associated with complex systems to enhance reliability and performance. This role

involves serving as a technical advisor and implementing strategies for risk management

and reliability engineering, conducting failure analysis, and

ensuring compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong

background in reliability engineering, risk assessment, and data analysis, with a proven

ability to improve system performance and operational efficiency.




JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:


• Collaborate with other experts within the BV network to identify opportunities,

propose technical solutions and deliver risk and reliability engineering services.

• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential hazards and

vulnerabilities in complex systems. Develop and implement risk mitigation

strategies to enhance system reliability and safety.

• Perform Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to

identify and address the underlying causes of system failures.

• Recommend corrective actions to reduce downtime and improve reliability.

• Utilize advanced statistical analysis and data modeling techniques to predict failure

rates, optimize maintenance schedules, and enhance operational efficiency. Apply

quantitative risk analysis (QRA) to inform risk management decisions.

• Develop and oversee asset integrity management programs to ensure compliance

with industry standards and regulations.

• Conduct safety and hazard analysis (HAZOP) sessions to identify potential safety

risks. Implement controls and procedures to reduce incident rates and ensure a

safe working environment.

• Provide technical sales support through customer meetings and proposal

management, preparation & review of opportunities.

• Identify and coordinate the development of additional BVNAM services offerings to

fully maximize BVNAM’s engagement with the client – communicate with

sales and operations professionals in different operating groups.

• Expand BVNAM’s current capability to deliver new methods of minimizing and

mitigating our customers’ risks.

• Collect design and analysis data from customers and assemble it into assumptions

and inputs into analysis models.

• Perform analysis (using software programs as necessary) on the appropriate models

utilizing Phast consequence analysis software or CFD software platforms.

• Clearly communicate the analysis results through both in-person presentations and

written reports.



ACCOUNTABILITIES AND PERFORMANCE MEASURES


• Achieve strategic objectives defined by company management.

• Help develop and execute strategic account plans to meet customer needs.

• Successfully deliver timely and accurate results for client projects.

• Lead and grow BVNAM technical support during customers’ FEED stage of projects.



ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENT


• Reports to the Director of Technical Services for BVNAM.

• Collaborates with the VP of Business Development on proposal preparation for new

opportunities utilizing engineering support during the FEED stage of projects.

• Coordinates closely with the BV global technical centers and global business line.



QUALIFICATIONS


• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, chemical, or related).

• 5+ years of experience in risk & reliability work with familiarity of failure modes

and criticality analysis (FMECA), reliability availability and maintainability

(RAM) analysis, hazard identification / hazard operability studies (HAZID /

HAZOP), quantitative risk analysis (QRA), safety integrity level (SIL)

assessments, risk-based inspections (RBI), and similar.

• Experience with downstream oil and gas, LNG, hydrogen or other new

energy projects preferred.

• Proficiency with Phast consequence analysis software or CFD

software platforms.

• Strong communication skills to deliver analysis results to people with varying

technical backgrounds and make appropriate recommendations as needed.

• Project management capability to direct and participate in projects with numerous

consultants and deliverables.

• Ability and willingness to travel within the US and abroad.

• Ability to work well in a team with a collaborative attitude.
