Duties:
· Coordinates the activities of technical and/or non-technical functions of the department on assigned shifts under the supervision of the department supervisor, manager, or director. Functional areas of responsibility may include, but are not limited to technical discipline areas in which department is licensed, specimen collection, specimen processing and specimen referral testing.

Located approximately 50 miles northeast of Safford, Arizona on U.S. Highway 191, Morenci operations (an open-pit copper mining complex) has been in continuous operation since 1939. The operation consists of two concentrators, crushed-ore leach pad and stacking system, a low-grade run-of-mine (ROM) leaching system; four SX plants; and three EW tank houses that produce copper cathode.

**What You Will Do**
+ Acts as technical expert in general areas of past and present operations and maintenance. Provides technical expertise to support maintenance and commissioning/decommissioning. Will have broad and deep background, knowledge and understanding of industrial processes and associated equipment.
+ Serves as a project lead and collaborates with maintenance/operations teams to achieve equipment reliability and run time. This work includes, but is not limited to, asset preservation, commissioning, and rebuilds. Team members may be internal or external (vendors or contractors).
+ Reviews maintenance documentation for plant and equipment, to help identify potential and existing problems and facilitate maintenance best practices. Having identified a problem, determines the root cause and takes action to resolve and/or prevent production/maintenance issues.
+ Collaborates with Planners, Operations, and others involved in the planning of critical maintenance activities.
+ Champion safety and environmental processes to support and improve maintenance working practices. Mentor personnel on best practices (process, tooling, specifications, etc.)
+ Collaborate to develop and utilize standard maintenance templates to achieve equipment reliability.
+ Perform other duties as requested.
**What You Bring To Freeport**
+ High school diploma or GED and seven (7) years journeyman level mechanical maintenance repair/rebuild experience with industrial equipment (pumps, motors, gearboxes, pulleys, etc.) including project management experience.
+ Journeyman level ability to read, understand and apply information from technical manuals and other reference materials, including blueprints.
+ Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
+ Ability to work around industrial equipment safely, including all relevant adverse conditions, with all applicable PPE.
+ Ability to manage multiple tasks and troubleshoot problems.
+ Effective written, verbal, and communication skills to satisfy training, safety, and electronic message transmission policies of the company.
+ Alignment training certification
+ Completed a Mechanical Maintenance Apprenticeship or equivalent.

Sleep Clinical Service Line Leader

The Sleep Clinical Service Line Leader provides technical and program leadership for the Allina Health Sleep Clinical Service Line, overseeing key programs including the A-STEP training program, AASM Network Accreditation, and the Quality Assurance program. Partners with leadership and staff to develop and maintain and ensure safe and effective operations in alignment with departmental policies and procedures. The Quality Assurance program encompasses continuing education, performance improvement, and regulatory compliance, with a focus on standards set by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM), Minnesota Department of Health, The Joint Commission, and other relevant regulatory bodies.

Principle Responsibilities:

• Serves as the A-Step Program Leader.

**CORE FUNCTIONS**
1. Performs all duties of MLS duties as defined by the department, at a high level of competency. Responsible for operational leadership and workflow oversight to the section/shift. Integrates comprehensive technical knowledge and clinical relevance into daily activity for the department. Responsible for complex problem solving of technical, computer, interdepartmental and quality issues. Under the direction of the Supervisor and/or Technical Director, responsible for implementation of system technical initiatives in their area of responsibility. 2. Focuses on quality by reviewing records and assuring performance of all quality control and assurance procedures. Assists the Supervisor, Administrative and Technical Directors, and Technical Specialist, in the implementation of new QC/QA polices and continuous quality improvement programs in accordance with the Quality System. Active in department and LSA/SQL System quality assurance activities. Monitors and ensures compliance with accrediting agency and regulatory requirements for the laboratory. Actively participates in preparation for on-site accrediting process.
3. Monitors, recognizes opportunities for improvement, and participates in improving the financial performance of the department and the SQL/LSA System to decrease costs, increase productivity, and improve service. Monitors inventory and brings related issues forward for prompt resolution. Assists with cost analysis models.
4. Assists with basic personnel oversight including participation in selection, training, developing, and providing coaching under the direction of the Supervisor or appropriate Director. Assists in new employee orientation, training and competency. Provides input for competency and annual assessments for employees in appropriate time frames. Actively involved in implementing and ensuring staff completion of competency program requirements. Self-directed and motivated to seek out opportunities to contribute to projects to help the department. Coordinates and is active in at least two special projects per year within the department or SQL/LSA System, along with other miscellaneous department duties.
5. Serves as a resource communication liaison for on-site and System issues. Provides access to other System resources when appropriate. **MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
+ Bachelor's Degree in medical laboratory science/medical technology, **OR**
+ Bachelor's degree in chemical or biological science (transcripts may be reviewed to determine eligibility) AND certification (MLS or categorical).
+ Two (2) years' experience in nonwaived testing in the designated specialty/sub-specialty area.
+ Foreign educated candidates must provide a detailed credential evaluation from IERF (International Education Research Foundation) or other nationally recognized credentialing agency for review to determine eligibility.
+ For certain specialty disciplines ONLY (Toxicology, HLA, HCTT, etc.) where no certification is available from a certifying agency, a bachelor's degree with one year of experience in that discipline is required.

**Job Summary and Responsibilities**
**Job Summary / Purpose:**
Oversees laboratory personnel and operations in one or more laboratory sections to ensure compliance and quality in accordance with laboratory work process. Responsible for the technical and scientific oversight of the clinical or pathology laboratory department.
**Essential Key Job Responsibilities:**
1. Coaches laboratory personnel to train for adherence to relevant policies and ethics
2. Oversees most laboratory day-to-day operations and exercises authority over operational decisions
3. Analyzes and interprets laboratory results in accordance with established laboratory work processes
4. Administers laboratory inventories such as supplies, equipment and consumables
5. Assists with selection of test methodology that is appropriate for the laboratory use of the test results
6. Verification of the test procedures performed and establishment of the laboratory's test performance characteristics, including the precision and accuracy of each test and test system
7. Performance within an HHS approved proficiency testing program commensurate with the services offered
8. Administration of a quality control program appropriate for the testing performed and establishing the parameters for acceptable levels of analytic performance and ensuring that these levels are maintained throughout the entire testing process from the initial receipt of the specimen, through sample analysis and reporting of test results
9. Trains staff in and assists with the resolution of technical problems and ensuring that remedial actions are taken whenever test systems deviate from the laboratory's established performance specifications
10. Ensuring that patient test results are not reported until all corrective actions have been taken and the test system is functioning properly
11. Identifying training needs and assuring that each individual performing tests receives regular in-service training and education appropriate for the type and complexity of the laboratory services performed
12. Qualify and function as the CLIA defined Technical Consultant. Evaluating the competency of all testing personnel and assuring that the staff maintain their competency to perform test procedures and report test results promptly, accurately and proficiently.
**Job Requirements**
**Required Education:**
Bachelor of Science degree in a chemical or biological science as defined by CLIA.
**Required experience:**
2 years clinical lab experience in the designed lab area/speciality
**Preferred licensure and certifications:**
Clinical Laboratory departments:
MT or CLS or MLS certification, ASCP or equivalent (per requirement sheet)
Pathology Laboratory department:
CT or HTL certification required, ASCP or equivalent
**Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training:**
Skilled multi-tasker, clear communicator, and active listener who knows the right questions to in order to understand the teams' needs.
