About the Job:
Essential Responsibilities
1. Verify conference high-profile room technology is functioning as expected by performing physical inspection of the equipment and regular review of reporting available from software monitoring tools.
2. Troubleshoot complex system anomalies using standardized approach and develop documentation to share with the team. Develop custom solutions as required to address root cause.
3. Lead both local and global hardware replacement and device software configuration. Collaborate with technical teams remotely to verify functionality and resolve unexpected issues.

Desired minimum Qualifications

Overview
The Audio-Visual Engineer is responsible for providing daily end user support and maintenance of all Alnylam video conferencing, collaboration technologies and associated audio video equipment. This position also works to monitor, analyze and plan upgrades, as necessary, to ensure adequate capacity and availability to meet Alnylam user needs. This position is based in Cambridge but requires occasional travel to our Norton office.
Key Responsibilities
- Day to day on-site technical and operational support of conference room and event space technology
- Daily preventative room checks of all equipment
- Support meeting rooms and end users with regards to all scheduled meeting requests (setup of projection, microphones, video meetings, etc.)
- In-room support and live-production for town halls, group meetings, and all hands meetings
- Manage AV ticket queue via ServiceNow
- Review schedules for next day requests to ensure equipment is operational
- Flexibility to provide support outside of normal working hours as needed
- Ability to occasionally travel to and support our Norton office (1-2 days a month)
- Perform equipment troubleshooting, maintenance, repairs, and installations as needed
- Engineer and implement new AV hardware solutions when needed
- Work with service providers to coordinate service and upgrades as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred and/or at least 3 - 5 years relevant audio visual (AV) experience (CTS certification preferred)
- Knowledge and experience supporting AV equipment including Q-SYS and Crestron control systems, Logitech Conference Room equipment, wireless audio and DSPs from Shure and Biamp, as well as video walls, projectors, and displays
- Working knowledge of video conference systems.
- Experience supporting and administrating Zoom meetings, Zoom Webinars, and Zoom Rooms
- Experience and/or strong working knowledge of multiple video and web based conferencing platforms such as Teams and Webex
- Ability to provide training & client support to end users in the operations of audiovisual systems
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced high-end customer focused corporate environment
- Ability to move quickly between buildings, physically access equipment behind displays/under conference room tables, and occasionally lift AV equipment

U.S. Pay Range
$84,300.00 - $114,100.00
The pay range reflects the full-time base salary range we expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. Base pay will be determined based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education. This role is eligible for an annual short-term incentive award (e.g., bonus or sales incentive) and an annual long-term incentive award (e.g., equity).

Your Impact:
Responsible for the design and implementation of audio visual and data system communication networks. Will work with audio visual operations technicians and engineering resources to ensure proper delivery of functional systems and additionally assist in troubleshooting audio visual systems and endpoints. - Provides software/hardware and system troubleshooting and support.
