" Proofreads and edits technical copy to ensure consistency, cohesiveness, grammatical accuracy, readability, and compliance with security and contractual requirements.
" Refines and organizes document input; edits and proofreads text, artwork, tables, graphs, and mathematical materials.
" Plans and coordinates preparation of illustrative material, reproduction, and other publications services.
" Advises authors/requestors of the preparation, development, approval, and scheduling of technical and administrative material for internal or external publication.

As the Game Content Editing Lead for our client's upcoming AAA First Person Shooter (FPS), you are part of a game capture team, and responsible for leading the video editing of exciting gameplay video footage captured on PC that showcase the intense gameplay, game atmosphere, and game mechanics that make this next-generation FPS unique. The captured content will be used in marketing assets for the game, such as, but not limited to, trailers, social media content, and promotional material.
In this role, you'll collaborate closely with your capture team to deliver top-tier assets. We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst with expertise in technical writing and documentation, combined with a strong understanding of data analysis and Azure tools. This role will bridge the gap between complex data processes and clear, user-friendly documentation, ensuring that our data-driven insights are effectively communicated across the organization.
Responsibilities
• Gather and document business requirements for software development projects
• Create detailed technical documentation, including user manuals, process guides, and system specifications
• Collaborate with developers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure accurate representation of business needs in technical solutions
• Develop and maintain process flow diagrams, use cases, and other visual aids to support documentation
• Create comprehensive technical documentation for data processes, Azure-based solutions, and analytical workflows
• Develop user manuals, system guides, and process documentation for data platforms and Azure services (e.g., Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Power BI)
• Translate complex data concepts and Azure architectures into clear, concise written materials for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to understand and document data models, ETL processes, and data pipelines
• Design and maintain documentation templates and standards for consistency across all data-related documentation
• Write and maintain API documentation for data services and integrations
• Develop training materials and conduct workshops on data tools and Azure services for end-users
• Participate in data analysis projects, providing documentation support throughout the project lifecycle
• Use Azure DevOps (ADO) for documentation version control and project management
• Ensure all documentation adheres to company standards and best practices in technical writing
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Communication, Computer Science, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably in a data-driven or cloud computing environment
• Strong understanding of data concepts and Azure data services
• Excellent writing skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
• Proficiency in documentation tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, MadCap Flare, Microsoft Office Suite)
• Familiarity with Azure services, particularly Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, and Power BI
• Experience with SQL and basic data querying
• Knowledge of data visualization principles and best practices
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality documentation
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
• Certifications in Technical Writing or Azure technologies
• Experience with API documentation and Swagger/OpenAPI
• Knowledge of markup languages (e.g., Markdown, reStructuredText)
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Understanding of agile methodologies and their application in documentation processes
• Basic programming knowledge (e.g., Python, R) for understanding code snippets
• Experience with data governance and compliance documentation
