**The Opportunity**
This position works out of our Abbott Park, IL location in GES Global Engineering Services division.
The **Senior Aircraft Technician** serves as a key member of the Aviation Maintenance team, reporting directly to the **Director of Aviation Maintenance** . This role is critical to ensuring the safety, reliability, and operational readiness of the company's aircraft fleet. Working independently with minimal supervision, the technician is responsible for maintaining aircraft in strict compliance with FAA regulations, internal policies, and industry best practices. Additionally, they play an active role in supporting the department's Safety Management System and mentoring junior technicians and Line Service Personnel.
This position requires successful completion of advanced training programs, including Master Technician certifications for each aircraft type and the Avionics Master Technician program. Beyond general fleet maintenance, the Senior Aircraft Technician assumes full responsibility for the airworthiness and upkeep of assigned aircraft and leads the resolution of Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situations as they arise.
The technician also serves as a **Cabin Safety Attendant (CSA)** on international and select domestic flights. While on the ground, they perform standard maintenance duties; during flight, they are responsible for ensuring passenger safety, delivering in-flight meal service, maintaining cabin cleanliness, coordinating emergency medical support if needed, and assisting the flight crew in managing technical stops efficiently.
**What You'll Work On**
+ Follow the FAA approved Abbott Laboratories aircraft inspection program, ensure compliance with the applicable FAA regulations, manufacturers requirements, and company standards as set forth in the Abbott Laboratories Aviation Department Policy & Operations Manual. Maintain all aircraft maintenance records in proper format and in compliance with governmental regulation.
+ Perform tests, adjustments, repairs, inspections, and other general tasks related to the maintenance of complex airframe systems, turbine engines, avionics, and related systems on Company aircraft.
+ Required to troubleshoot the aircraft with a high degree of proficiency; ability to accurately resolve aircraft discrepancies by gathering all pertinent information from the aircraft using appropriate maintenance manuals, schematics and wiring diagrams as guidelines to identify the failed component and recommend solutions. Once identified the AMTE will be required to determine if the aircraft is airworthy and can be flown or if it can be dispatched using a Minimum Equipment List (MEL) or if the aircraft is unairworthy and unable to fly.

1.0 SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE

**Overview:**
**Audacy has an opening for a talented radio broadcast engineer for its six-station cluster in our St. Louis market. This is a hands-on position with emphasis on proven engineering skills. This position is represented by the IBEW Local 4 union.**
**Responsibilities**
**What You'll Do:**
+ Maintain, inspect and repair all broadcast radio station equipment, including transmitters, satellite downlinks, network infrastructure, automation systems, studio equipment, AOIP networks, UPS's, remote control equipment, generators, VOIP and telephone systems.
+ Maintain and Review weekly transmitter and studio logs for correct and complete entries includingEAS tests and tower lighting requirements per F.C.C. Rules and Regulations.
+ Provide support 24/7 in case of equipment failure; available to work various hours/days, including weekends and holidays.
+ Assist the Chief Engineer to maintain the integrity of all on-air and on-line products, including high power FM + HD, AM, digital audio & audio streaming.
+ Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair all broadcast radio station equipment, including transmitters, antennas, STL, satellite downlinks, studio equipment, remote equipment, generators and backup power systems, telephone system and related equipmentin keeping with good engineering practices.
+ Install and maintain broadcast IT systems at studios and transmitter sites, such as WideOrbit, Axia and Burli including workstations and servers.
+ Create instructional materials and teach operators to use technical equipment and systems.
+ Handle telco problems and service calls. Work with technicians to troubleshoot circuits; cross connect in-house circuits.
+ Generator testing, fueling and supervision of maintenance.
+ UPS testing and supervision of maintenance.
+ Effectively communicate and partner with programming staff as well as outside partners.
+ Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.
**Qualifications**
**Required and Preferred:**
+ Minimum 3 years broadcast engineering experience.
+ Associate's degree in electronics preferred.
+ IT networking skills preferred.
+ Knowledge of FCC Rules and Regulations.
+ Ability to provide support 24/7 in case of equipment failure; available to work various hours/days, including weekends and holidays.
+ FCC General Class License or SBE Certifications are a plus.
+ A valid driver's license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check, and, if the position requires use of applicant's own vehicle, proof of insurance, is required.
+ Strong verbal and writing communications skills.

Technical Engineers pen the plans that lead construction crews to success. As a Technical Engineer in the Army National Guard, you will develop the skills necessary to help build, plan, and repair airstrips, docks, barracks, roads, and other projects.

Your training will enable you to assume duties that include construction site development, such as technical investigation, surveying, drafting, and the development of construction plans and specifications. Specific duties may include: construction material testing; drawing maps, charts, and making scale drawings of roads, airfields, and buildings; conducting land surveys and computing survey results; preparing structure wiring and plumbing diagrams; building scale models of land areas that show hills, lakes, roads, and buildings; and piecing together aerial photographs to form large photomaps.

Job Duties
• Draw topographic maps and charts using Computer Aided Drafting systems and software
• Conduct geodetic and construction surveys and results utilizing Automated Integrated Survey Instruments and Global Positioning Survey Technology
• Provide technical support for vertical and horizontal construction projects
