Job Title: HPE Hardware and Software Infrastructure Specialist
Schedule: Schedule TBD. During the 16-week training period, hours will be Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.
Pay: Hourly rate + mileage reimbursement at $0.70/mile.
Note: There is a 16-week training program once hired.

Requirements:
Must have a basic understanding of Storage theory, Server layout and Network concepts.
Must have mechanical aptitude and ability to follow procedures to make component level repairs using ESD best practices.
Requires good understanding of the general/technical aspects of the job.
Must be familiar with using different computer applications and be able to navigate software tools as required by task at hand.
Must possess professional written and verbal communication skills
Must be organized and able to document daily activities
Must maintain successful communication and working relationship with management & peers of all levels.

Job Summary:
Provide customer with telephone assistance. Tasks include both field and in-house troubleshooting and repair of most products. Will be responsible for training customers and Toshiba personnel. Will follow departmental procedures and prepare all necessary documentation and reports (ex. service call report, monthly activity report). Maintains technical support database. Competent in one product family with a working knowledge of at least one other family. Remain current on Technology and product by self-directed learning. Maintain and update a central library of product manuals and engineering design change data for the field Service Department.
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer telephone technical support assistance.
- Assist other service personnel with troubleshooting, repair, and product application problems.
- Train customers and Toshiba employees on product trouble shooting, repair, and application.
- Maintain and update a central library of product manuals and engineering design change data for the Field Service Department.
- From time to time may be required to perform start-up and repair of most company products , both in-house and at customer locations.
- After hours on call support as required.
- Prepare a service report for each job worked on with detailed information so that charges can be calculated and allocated. The report must enable the manager to decide on questions of warranty and answer customer questions, both technically and regarding billing.
- Follow established procedures to account for, and safe guard, resources taken to job sites as required.
- Assist manufacturing and engineering in identifying and correcting problems with Toshiba equipment and parts.
- Maintain company issued tools, equipment, and spare parts, keeping tools and test equipment calibrated and maintaining records of same.
Prefer one of:
- Technical university degree/Associates degree
- Military power electrical training program
- or electrical apprenticeship program
- Skilled in troubleshooting and repair of group's products
- Minimum of one years experience in trouble shooting and repair
- Has attended most in-house service training schools for products
- Tools/Equipment:
- Common hand/power tools, electronic test equipment, chart recorders, high voltage test equipment, programmers for micro processor based equipment such as PLC's, and computers
- Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to perform all physical functions normally associated with and electrical worker ata start-up and.or construction site
- This will include lifting, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, working in cramped locations, and in dusty non-climatically controlled situations

Reporting to the Director, Field Applications the Field Service Technical Support (Virginia) will be accountable for providing technical guidance and information to customers on a pre-sales and post-sales basis to enable delivery of design, fabrication, and assembly goals, per customers' expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Uses technical knowledge of products and associated development tools to assist customers on complex issues.
- Assists with the development of complex product roadmaps.
- Develops and maintains ongoing relationships with product and business development teams.
- Provides technical expertise during product development by defining customer product needs and translating these needs into new product recommendations and specifications.
- Reviews customer requirements, identifies and communicates potential issues and provides recommendations that will meet both the capabilities Flex and the specifications of the customer.
- Identifies and communicates existing and potential design issues both internally and externally.
- Coordinates product integration efforts between component suppliers, Flex, and the customer.
- Develops and presents technical seminars for customers and sales personnel to promote employers' manufacturing capabilities, services, available technologies, manufacturing process and quality.
- Works with customer representatives to coordinate vendor qualification surveys.
- Provides best in class, complex, technical assistance by answering and closing all customer and program management technical questions related to manufacturing capabilities including design, fabrication, and assembly abilities.
