Field Service Solar Technician

**Job Overview**
TE Connectivity is now hiring a Field Service Technician for the Solar energy products division. The qualified candidate must be located on East Coast, preferably in North Carolina or neighboring states.
Field Service Technician's main duties and responsibilities:
Provide general technical client support of TE's Solar and Medium Voltage product lines (Raychem/AMPACT/Raysulate)
Conduct hands-on training with line crews, splicers, electricians, and electrical superintendents in both the industrial and utility markets on all TE - Energy Division products.
Provide job site installation support for proper installation of TE's products, conduct training and certifications at industrial and utility plants
Conduct training seminars and support Trade Shows
Support trade shows, develop a strong rapport with utility personnel and electrical contractors and be a Solar product consultant for them
Analyze simple product failures and prepare failure reports
Conduct onsite installation of Solar and Medium Voltage Raychem products
Provide feedback and ideas regarding product design, product improvements, and competitive products. Suggesting improvements and revisions
When in the field, this individual will always look for and be aware of other application opportunities and provide feedback to Area Sales Managers and Product Management
Conduct new product demonstrations and training
AMPACT tool repairs
**Job Requirements**
Large scale industrial and commercial Utility Solar industry experience preferred focusing on electrical installation and quality related experience.
High School diploma or equivalent required
Five or more years of experience of working with medium voltage products as a service technician
Large scale Industrial or commercial Utility Solar industry experience preferred
Strong customer focus and willingness to assist in all aspects of their business
High energy and enthusiasm
Analytical and structured thinking with an ability to understand customers request
Working knowledge of Microsoft Offi ce, Word, Excel, Calendar, Power Point
Ability to travel up to 75% domestically
Ability to operate a company provided vehicle
**What your background should look like**
Typically requires 5-6 years or more of related work experience. Requires high school diploma. Completion of an AA degree or equivalent is preferred.

Field Service Mechanics are dispatched to local jobsites at various times of the day and work independently without direct supervision. **What you will do.**
+ Develop and maintain a consistent schedule of performing preventative maintenance of all Herc owned fleet at long term customer job sites
+ Oversee and conduct oil changes, lubrication of equipment, tire replacements, hose repairs, battery replacements and assorted services
+ Diagnose and repair heavy equipment as required to ensure proper operating condition at the job site
+ Diagnose and troubleshoot fuel systems, electrical systems, hydraulic systems and propane systems
+ Recondition and replace assorted parts to return equipment to a safely functioning state
+ Educating customers on proper use of equipment to avoid future breakdowns
+ Analyze problem areas for any significant wear or tear and address to ensure proper usage of the equipment until your next scheduled visit
+ Adhere to all safety guidelines posted at active jobsite where repairs and maintenance are completed
+ Maintain work area on jobsite in a clean and organized manner

**Job Description**
**What You'll Do**
- Collaborates with customers and stakeholders from QC and DS Manufacturing (DSM) to support tech transfers of new customer projects as they relate to QC Sample Plans and DS/DP Specifications.
- Authors, reviews, and leads updates of controlled GMP documents related to QC Sample Plans and QC Specifications.
- Leads, authors, and reviews change controls of QC Sample Plans for both internal and external changes together with relevant stakeholders, including communication with customers as applicable.
- Manages and directs the continuous improvement of QC Sample Plans and QC Specifications.
- Applies holistic quality system approach through identifying and solving technical and compliance gaps and areas for improvement or remediation related to quality or process and leads through completion and sustainable implementation.
- Leads and participates in team compliance activities including writing, changing, and maintaining GMP documents in collaboration with relevant stakeholders and QA.
- Ensures compliance with platform, procedures, and global QC vision.
- Supports management in training compliance with policies and inspections.
- Supports regulatory requests, audits, and inspections.
- Collaborates with the LIMS team and IT department to build DS/DP sample plan and specification functions that meet end-user and customer requirements.
- Provides guidance and feedback for QC personnel development.
- Performs other duties, as assigned
**Minimum Requirements**
- Bachelors in Biological Sciences, Engineering, or related science field with 5+ years of relevant experience OR
- Masters in Biological Sciences, Engineering, or related science field with 3+ years of relevant experience
- Prior experience of project management experience preferably in biotechnology, Pharma, Contract Research Organization (CRO), or Contract Laboratory Organization (CLO)
- 1-3 years' experience in a GMP environment
- Prior experience in leading technical writing initiatives.
**Preferred Requirements**
- Experience with Customer Relationship Management
- Prior drug substance or manufacturing experience, including process validation, transfer, commercialization, and manufacturing support and troubleshooting.
- Experience using quality systems (e.g., deviation management system, change control, corrective and preventive action (CAPA), document management system)
- Prior experience in leading project improvement management.
- Lean/6S certification
