other site-specific testing requirements

**Responsibilities:**
+ Install and service Topcon Machine Control components on Dozers, Motor Graders, Excavators, Skid steers, Compactors, Pavers and Curb Machines.
+ Troubleshoot complex installation issues to improve machine performance.
+ Research and identify solutions to software and hardware issues
+ Perform Pre and Post Sale Technical Support assistance for customers and the sales team via phone, email, and remote.
**Qualifications:**
+ Mechanical and Technical abilities required
+ Hydraulics and Electronics aptitude. Troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems will be required.
+ Strong Customer Service and Support focus
+ Intermediate knowledge of computers
+ Physically capable of climbing onto large equipment and lift- up to 75 pounds.
+ Installs will be outside in the elements (rain, cold, heat)
+ Required Travel (60%) fluctuates depending on business requirements subject to change at any time
+ Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
**Education & Experience**
+ High School education/Trade school, field experience, or previous work experience working on heavy equipment.
+ Aptitude in learning Heavy equipment operation
+ Mechanical and Technical abilities required
+ Specific MC installation experience would be ideal but willing to train.
+ Troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems will be required.

Job Description

As a Field Service Representative, you’ll be on the front lines providing operations and maintenance
expertise on water treatment systems for one of our customers from one of a variety of industries. This
mission critical role involves working on a variety of technologies including, media filtration, reverse
osmosis (RO), and ultrafiltration (UF).

Key Characteristics 

  • Conduct maintenance and calibration activities
  • Consult with Veolia management and operation teams
  • Excellent mechanical know how and problem-solving skills
  • Ensure contract compliance of volume and quality specifications
  • Operate, monitor, and optimize equipment performance

Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Carry out mechanical, electrical and controls troubleshooting on equipment such as valves, air compressors, ejectors, process pumps, blowers, and instrumentation
  • Create and maintain site paperwork and detailed technical summaries of work performed.
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts and adequate supply of chemicals and replacement parts
  • Monitor and maintain chemical injection systems
  • Perform analytical testing such as: turbidity, hardness, chlorine, pH, SDI, in addition to various other site-specific testing requirements
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and remotely with project teams
  • Skilled in use of computer for reports, emails, service manuals, etc.

Education Experience
Required:

  • High School Diploma / GED / Home School Certification OR international equivalent 2+ years’ experience of service/maintenance or equivalent in an industrial environment
  • Valid Driver’s License

Desirable:

  • Bachelor or Associates Degree in Science/Engineering (STEM) or technical certificate in maintenance

Working Conditions

  • Ability to travel within NAM as required for training, etc.
  • Ability to respond after hours and weekends
  • This is a minimal travel role
  • Working conditions can be outside, in a trailer using our fleet assets, or at fixed location
