Position Description :
Interface with customers to determine the issue(s) at hand.
Perform diagnosis of the various systems when the problem(s) occur.

Monitor the performance of the equipment to ensure a successful repair.
Maintain a clean and safe working area and provide training to customer personnel.
Installation and run-off of new equipment and document services performed.
Requirements:
Must be able to travel extensively in the United States, Mexico and Canada, occasionally in Europe.
Strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic knowledge for onsite troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of electrical systems and components and CNC equipment operation.
Good communication and problem solving as well as reporting and documentation skills.
Interpret schematics (hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical) and blueprints for assembly/specifications.
Work independently or team environment and be in the field for sustained periods of time.
Valid driver's license, pass port, clean records.

The Field Service Engineer will install and support high resolution Mass Spectrometry Instrumentation, mainly focused on the Bruker timsTof instruments.
Responsibilities- Familiarize and train customers for basic operation of the equipment.
- Perform remote support and diagnostic analysis to determine independently if on site corrective maintenance is required.
- Organize and prioritize schedule in accordance with customer requirements to determine needs for immediate attention, via on-site visits, and remote assistance.
- Re-qualify the entire instrument after service repair by running complex compounds for verification, in accordance with customer expectations.
- Secure customer acceptance of installation and maintenance sign-off.
- Perform installation of new systems, preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Communicate and work closely with Service and Support Center, Regional Service Management and Applications Specialists
- Perform other duties as required.
- B.S. in Biotech, Biology or Chemistry related fields or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years' experience diagnosing and repairing mass spectrometers.
- Experience troubleshooting HPLC and nanoLC required.
- Proven knowledge of analog electronics, high voltage circuitry/circuits, laser technology.
- Experience with GLP and working in a regulated environment.
- Strong technical skills involving analytical instrumentation.
- Excellent customer focus with ability to reliably respond to inquiries, communicate and interact with customers with a range of technical expertise.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines within a customer-focused work environment.
- Focus on the South-eastern region with ability and willingness to travel up to 50% as required by customer demand.
- May require lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, and squatting and working in laboratory environments.
- Valid Drivers' License issued by state of residence and in good standing.
At Bruker, the base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $80,200 and $129,500 and provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base salary for the role will depend on several job-related factors, including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge, and travel requirements for this position. + Exceptional customer service skills
+ Sales experience - car sales, retail sales, insurance sales, B2C sales, call center experience
+ Field technician experience - cable installation, internet Installation, pest control, lawn maintenance, construction, solar technician
+ Clean driving record and valid license
+ Someone who thrives in a team environment as well as independently
**Minimal Requirements:**
+ Candidates must live within a 20-mile radius of the city
+ Successful candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment criminal background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screening, in compliance with applicable laws.
**Physical demands of the job:**
+ Lift and carry up to 45 lbs.
+ Climb ladders up to 14 feet
+ Work in attics and other limited-space areas
+ Bend, kneel, crouch, and stand for extended periods
