Job Description
Field Service Technician Objective
We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to provide specialized machinery repairs and technical support to our customers on-site. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with strong customer service skills to deliver exceptional equipment maintenance and troubleshooting services in the field.
Responsibilities:
+ Perform specialized mechanical repairs on industrial equipment at customer locations
+ Conduct field service visits for new product installations and equipment repairs
+ Provide technical support via telephone, online platforms, and in-person visits
+ Troubleshoot equipment issues and educate customers on proper product usage
+ Manage parts replacement requests and warranty claims
+ Collaborate with engineering and programming teams to resolve system issues
+ Document and maintain detailed service records and technical reports
+ Participate in final product testing and quality assurance processes
+ Follow up on technical solutions to ensure customer satisfaction
+ Travel to customer sites as required
Requirements:
+ High School Diploma required; Technical degree preferred
+ 2-3 years of experience in a similar industrial environment
+ Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities
+ 50-60% travel for customer support
+ Excellent deductive reasoning and problem-solving skills
+ Superior verbal and written communication skills
+ Ability to create detailed technical reports and documentation
+ Experience with technical evaluation and diagnostics
+ Strong customer service orientation
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
