The technical production lead provides technical mechanical support on-shift for the packaging department.The technical production lead supports the maintenance team by executing planned maintenance activities and providing technical leadership and support for the production department. The operator-technician is responsible for working proactively and collaboratively with maintenance technicians and the Production Supervisor to transfer knowledge and execution of basic maintenance activities (Cleaning, Inspection, Lubrication) to the autonomous maintenance group and to learn from the MWG. They will be a systems expert and capable of teaching methodologies to new employees. They will also cover line positions for breaks, and to allow other operators the opportunity to practice their NCE and TPM skills.
**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Responsible for efficient operation of team tasks and responsibilities to safely produce a product with zero deviations from quality standards.
+ Responsible for maintaining basic condition of equipment through Cleaning, Inspection, & Lubrication activities.
+ Provide on-shift troubleshooting support to identify and correct technical breakdowns and minor stoppages.
+ Teach and lead NCE/TPM methodology to perform root cause analysis to proactively identify and eliminate reoccurring failures.
+ Cultivate an environment that helps to build and strengthen the team concept and sets the culture of Zero Safety Incidents, Zero Quality Defects, and Zero Preventable Stoppages.
+ Provide training and assistance to improve competency of fellow members as needed.
+ Build rapport and collaborate effectively with technical members of the production team to own responsibility of basic maintenance activities, minor stoppages, HTRP, and SOCs.
+ Build and develop work instructions and troubleshooting's in POKA.
+ Perform PMs as assigned by the Planner/Scheduler to proactively prevent failures and promote safe and efficient production.
+ Other job duties, as assigned.

About the Role
Technical Operators are equipment experts who support production by ensuring efficiency, product quality, and equipment reliability. In this role, you'll troubleshoot and repair process and packaging equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and partner with production teams to drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair equipment in pneumatics, hydraulics, automation, machining, and mechanical systems.
Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) and support equipment setups and changeovers.
Train operators in Autonomous Maintenance (AM) and support TPM activities, including breakdown analysis.
Document work orders using SAP Plant Maintenance.
Communicate effectively with operators, peers, supervisors, and leadership.
Follow all safety and GMP standards, including LOTO and Confined Space procedures.

**A Shift:** Sunday Tuesday 6:00 AM 6:00 PM; Wednesday 6:00 AM 12:00 PM
**Primary Objective**
Monitors operation of all machines within the department to ensure optimal production efficiencies
**Major Function and Scope**
+ Operates, adjusts industrial machinery and equipment to be within the parameters of the product
+ Insures all product is processed within the department assigned
+ Performs quality checks of work and documents on appropriate paperwork
+ Cleans machinery, equipment and work area with provided supplies and utensils
+ Maintains and fixes production equipment of assigned department
+ Assists on training operators within the department
+ Works with technicians and contractors within the department on training procedures and maintenance of machinery.
+ Maintains a clean work area including the proper care and storage of tools and equipment

Summary:
Become an expert on all safety, quality, and production requirements for standardized production. Train and coordinate activities for Tech Ops I, II, III. Monitor and report on various production and quality metrics for multiple lines of production. Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and productive work environment that supports the LG Way. Operate assigned equipment to produce high quality lithium-ion batteries.
Responsibilities:
- Organize and coordinate operator work assignments across multiple lines, scheduling around breaks, vacations, changeovers and absenteeism
- Assist operators and monitor lines to keep them running smoothly by anticipating supply needs
- Ensure work is completed in a safe manner and maintain a safe working environment
- Set and reach daily production goals with the Production Supervisor
- Ensure production metrics are met across multiple lines (KPI’s, SPQRCE)
- Ensure daily/weekly physical inventory count activities are completed by Tech Ops I, II, & III consistently and accurately
- Create shift production reports on machine downtime, safety, quality, thrown away material, on-hold processes, and buffer numbers, escalating issues when appropriate
- Ensure quality is delivered through continuous monitoring of the line and occasional random checks for product defects
- Resolve people conflicts and escalate to the Production Supervisor as appropriate
- Ensure operator training is consistently and effectively taking place, gauge operator skills and capabilities, ensure training and line assignments align accordingly, and create and review instruction manuals
- Conduct quarterly operator evaluations to track growth and development
- Provide a line of communication between the Production Supervisor and the line workers
- Inspect materials and machines to identify maintenance needs and create daily maintenance check sheets
- Troubleshoot and repair production machines, report all downtime issues, and escalate maintenance issues as appropriate
- Maintain records to demonstrate compliance with safety and environmental laws, regulations, or policies
- Implement operational and emergency procedures
- Initiate or coordinate inventory or cost control programs
- Follow LGESMI existing cleaning SOP’s during downtime (e.g. line stop, waiting time, etc.), which includes cleaning your designated machine and/or surrounding work area
- Conduct thorough and timely Layered Process Audits in appropriate work areas
- Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:
- Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain
- Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Vocational Certificate or Associates Degree preferred or equivalent, relevant experience
