Job Description

**This is not a remote role. You must be in the local area or open to relocation**
**Office of Technology Enablement (OTE)**
The Office of Technology Enablement (OTE) is Disney's central engine for transforming emerging tech into real world magic. We orchestrate company-wide efforts in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and mixed reality, empowering every segment-from Studios and ESPN to Parks & Experiences-to unlock new value and delight our guests in responsible, innovative ways.
We are looking for an experienced **Manager,** AI Technical Product Management to serve as a technical product leader bridging OTE's AI capabilities with Disney's diverse businesses. In this role, you will spot AI opportunities, shape lean experiments, and shepherd them into measurable wins-partnering closely with product, engineering, creative, legal, and finance teams across the enterprise.
With your deep technical background in AI/ML systems and proven ability to architect solutions at scale, you will turn nascent business opportunities into technical implementation roadmaps-defining clear hypotheses, success metrics, and delivery plans that translate bold ideas into scalable, high impact technical solutions.
If you are a visionary yet hands on leader who can navigate ambiguity, inspire cross functional teams, and deliver tangible results in a fast-moving landscape, we'd love to meet you.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ **Build Technology Roadmaps for AI Implementation** - Partner closely with our Staff Data Scientists and Architects to design technical frameworks and implementation blueprints for AI/ML solutions across Disney's businesses; translate complex technical architectures into phased delivery plans that balance innovation with production readiness.
+ **Opportunity Assessment and Product Discovery** - Apply your ML + engineering expertise to transform raw ideas from business units into structured hypotheses, ROI projections, and lean experiments; maintain a technically-vetted, prioritized AI opportunity backlog with clear feasibility assessments and architectural approaches.
+ **Program and Portfolio Leadership** - Operate our end-to-end enablement model (Advise → Connect → Design → Build), tracking value, risk, and technical resources through data-driven dashboards; refine processes so OTE can scale from dozens to hundreds of engagements.
+ **Portfolio Analytics and Executive Reporting** - Build data pipelines and analytics systems to surface patterns, emerging technical needs, and cross-segment synergies; deliver metrics-led technical insights and architectural recommendations that shape Disney wide AI strategy.
+ **Technical Implementation Coordination** -- Drive technical decision-making and clear implementation blockers across Legal, Privacy, Security, Procurement, and Finance; ensure all technical architectures meet Disney's Responsible AI guard rails and compliance standards.
+ **AI Community Building & Knowledge Management** - Lead AI implementation communities; produce AI Working Group sessions, office hours, showcases, and maintain an internal technical knowledge hub with reference architectures, best practices, and reusable components that grows a vibrant network of technical practitioners.
+ **Technical Team Leadership** -- Lead a small PM team and partner with two Technical Leads (Staff Architect & Staff Data Scientist), aligning design with product outcomes and driving technical adoption across segments.
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related technical field; Master's degree preferred (MBA or MS in technical discipline).
+ **8 years in technical product or program management, or technology strategy roles with hands-on experience building and shipping ML systems in partnership with engineering and business teams.**
+ Experience leading cross functional squads or direct reports-able to coach, not just coordinate.
+ **Demonstrated technical expertise translating ambiguous AI/ML opportunities into production systems with clear architectural decisions, technical trade-offs, and measurable outcomes.**
+ **Fluent in modern AI/ML concepts and architectures, and adept at bridging technical and business audiences.**
+ Proven relationship builder comfortable engaging executives, engineers, and creative talent across multiple business units.
+ Technical product management expertise with proficiency in agile delivery, technical documentation, API design, and building data-driven dashboards.
+ Hands on experience navigating data quality and infrastructure challenges; familiarity with MLOps principles and model lifecycle management.
+ Exceptional written, verbal, and visual storytelling that reflects Disney's inclusive culture.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ MBA or MS in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
+ Experience as a technical product manager at a major technology company (FAANG or equivalent) shipping AI/ML products at scale
+ Prior experience applying AI/ML to media, consumer products, or entertainment technology challenges. Track record in start-up scouting, incubators, or innovation centers surfacing emerging tech opportunities.
+ Production experience with MLOps platforms (Kubeflow, MLflow, SageMaker) and cloud AI services (AWS, GCP, Azure).
