The Manager, Technical Project Management will work in our RF business to build a team and discipline around project management that will engage with cross functional teams to define, develop, launch, and promote our RF connectivity products and manufacturing processes. Your scope will include project managers and projects that engage product managers, engineers, and operational personnel from our design centers and manufacturing plants globally, including in Mexico, the US, Taiwan, and China. What You Will Do

• Develop and lead an effective team of Technical Project Managers that achieve the on-time delivery of product development projects for the RF business
• Lead and manage multiple New Product Development projects for customer-specific and general market products across multiple plants and design centers
• Collaborate with customers and Global Product Managers to understand customer needs and requirements and ensure the on-time launch of products that meet these requirements
• Collaborate with the NPI & manufacturing engineers to develop production processes using PDP (Product Development Process) guidelines; drive a strong culture of DFM (Design for Manufacturing)

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

Job Description

We are seeking a Manager, Technical Project Management (TPM) to lead execution across the highly cross-functional and technically complex Taco Bell Voice AI initiative. This role will be responsible for managing end-to-end delivery workflows, aligning workstreams across engineering, AI, QA, and product teams, and ensuring that milestones are met and delivered with excellence.

You will serve as the connective tissue between program stakeholders, scrum teams, voice infrastructure partners, and deployment stakeholders-all within the fast-paced environment of AI-driven restaurant technology.

Key Responsibilities:

Program & Sprint Management

• Define sprint goals, schedules, and milestones across engineering, ML, and QA teams
• Drive sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospective cycles in partnership with PMs and Tech Leads
• Maintain sprint velocity, JIRA health, and delivery accountability

Technical Coordination

• Track dependencies across AI, audio integrations (HME), menu/POS systems, and deployment systems
• Manage risk registers, engineering blockages, and schedule integrity
• Coordinate pre-launch activities including regression testing, QA signoff, and incident readiness

Stakeholder Communication

• Report program status, risks, and outcomes to leadership and partner teams

This player-coach role combines hands-on technical project management with leadership responsibilities, including supervising a small team of 2-3 Technical Project Managers. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, a strong executor, and a mentor who drives delivery excellence and process improvement across our globally distributed teams.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Execution

• Lead end-to-end technical project management for healthcare and life sciences data and analytics products.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define scope, goals, and deliverables.

• Create detailed project plans and release strategies aligned with business priorities.

• Ensure and mature agile development and technical project management practices as well as coach teams on process improvements when necessary.

• Support day-to-day project development team activities.

• Track progress, unblock issues, and provide project, program and executive-level insights on project status.

Team Management & Coaching (LMA - Lead, Manage, and Hold Accountable)

• Supervise and mentor 2-3 Technical Project Managers.

• Establish and refine project management standards, templates, and best practices.

• Conduct regular check-ins, performance reviews, and development planning.

• Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.

Tool Administration & Enhancement

• Administer and optimize Jira workflows, boards, and configurations.

• Enhance Jira usage across teams, including custom fields, automation, and reporting.

• Support and improve Tempo time tracking integration within Jira.

Governance & Standards

• Define and enforce delivery governance across projects and teams.

• Develop and maintain standardized processes for project tracking, reporting, and documentation.

• Ensure consistent application of agile methodologies and technical project management practices.

• Contribute to software labor capitalization efforts by tracking and documenting qualifying work.

Resource Management

• Support leadership in assessing development team capacity and projecting future resource needs.

• Coordinate with product and engineering leadership to ensure availability of necessary resources.

Communication & Collaboration

• Facilitate communication across teams to ensure clarity on objectives and timelines.

• Create tailored reporting (including executive dashboards) for different stakeholder audiences.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide regular updates.

Risk Management

• Identify potential risks and challenges in project execution.

• Develop and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery.

Culture Development

• Foster a high-performing, collaborative culture within Product and Engineering.

• Champion process rigor and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field required; Master's degree preferred.

• 8+ years of experience in technical project management, including 2+ years in a people management role.

• Certifications such as PMP, Agile Scrum Master, and/or equivalent related certifications are strongly desired.

• Strong proficiency in Atlassian tools, especially Jira (admin experience required).

• Experience with Tempo time tracking module preferred.

• Familiarity with software labor capitalization is a plus.

• Deep understanding of agile development frameworks and product/engineering operations.

• Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to translate strategy into execution and concisely communicate project and program status.

• Proven experience managing projects related to software engineering, data science, data engineering, and other technical projects.

• It is preferred that the candidate has software development experience and has a strong understanding of the software development life-cycle and DevSecOps.
