Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Manager to oversee commercial door projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate has experience in the doors, frames, and hardware industry and excels at coordinating clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of commercial door, frame, and hardware projects from initial proposal to final installation.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project requirements are met.
• Prepare and review project schedules, budgets, and submittals.
• Coordinate material orders, deliveries, and logistics to meet project timelines.

Geotechnical Project Manager - Manassas, VA

We are partnered with a well-established geotechnical engineering and consulting firm with a strong reputation across Northern Virginia. With a consistent pipeline of local work and long-standing client relationships, they are looking to add a Geotechnical Project Manager to their Manassas office.

This is a key position within the team, offering a mix of technical delivery, project oversight, and client engagement across a wide variety of commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing geotechnical projects from proposal through to completion, ensuring high-quality technical delivery and strong client service.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing multiple geotechnical projects across site development, transportation, and infrastructure sectors
• Planning and overseeing subsurface exploration programs (borings, test pits, in-situ testing)
• Interpreting field and laboratory data, including soil and rock classification and engineering properties
• Preparing and reviewing geotechnical reports, including recommendations for foundations, earthwork, pavement design, and ground improvement
• Performing geotechnical analyses (settlement, bearing capacity, slope stability, earth pressures, etc.)
• Coordinating with drilling subcontractors, laboratories, and internal teams
• Providing construction-phase support, including site visits and responding to field conditions

• Preparing proposals, scopes of work, and cost estimates

Requirements

• BS in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a closely related field
• 6+ years of geotechnical engineering experience, including project management responsibility
• Strong background in geotechnical investigations, analysis, and report writing
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Experience managing multiple projects, clients, and deadlines concurrently
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Valid driver's license and willingness to visit project sites as needed
• Ability to perform occasional field work and handle typical site demands

Preferred Qualifications

• EIT or PE license (or actively working towards licensure)
• Experience with local Virginia soils and regional geology
• Familiarity with VDOT standards and local jurisdiction requirements
• Experience supporting business development and client growth
